Thanks for the zip. working great on my DM800se and pli 3.0
The instructions have to be corrected though since they point to wrong files.
The dreamboxes with OpenPLi 3.0 now support DTS downmix, just install a latest image, DTS downmix is included.

JaCro, how does one actually know that the DTS-downmix actually really works well?
I've installed as per your instructions, rebooted (ET6000). I noticed a little improvement on the fact that MKV files with DTS tracks don't play jerky at the beginning anymore like before, but out of 5 files tested, 4 didn't play the DTS at all.
Is there a menu item somewhere in the GUI to check settings or else?

Same here on Xtrend ET6000:
#opkg install --force-overwrite gst-plugin-dvbmediasink_0.10+gt119+1bc9f47-r5_mips32el.ipk Not downgrading package gst-plugin-dvbmediasink on root from 0.10.0+git16+aeeedf-r2 to 0.10+git119+1bc9f47-r5.
I managed to install with --force-downgrade, but DTS-Downmix doesn't really work.

OK, than it seems the provided instructions are fuzzy - do we all really need to force-downgrade mediasink?
Since it didn't work, I removed 0.10+gt119+1bc9f47-r5, and installed back the one coming by default from feed to ET6000, and got:
root@et6x00:~# opkg list-installed | grep mediasink gst-plugin-dvbmediasink - 0.10.0+git22+cf49bb0-r4 root@et6x00:~# find /usr/lib -name "libgstdtsdownmix.so" root@et6x00:~#
Still doesn't work.
What could it be?

Still doesn't work.
What does work and what doesn't.... what simptoms do you have???
And as far I know you should not have to have any dts so or so needed to be installed. For ET6K and ET9K and I suggest also ET4K boxes it is included in the drivers...
Probably the extra instalations made the downmix unstable...

Only dreambox users, which don't have hardware dts decoder support, can use this gstreamer element to perform software decoding instead.
Your et6x00 should be fine as it is.

Symptom is: out of 5 files tested, 4 didn't play the DTS at all. Files are OK, because I've sent one of them to betacentauri, who tested on his box and said that DTS plays fine there.
In the plugins list, on my ET6000 I have a plugin named "Genuine Dreambox" which says that the service is not running.
Still doesn't work.
