Yes, there are subtitles available in short mode. In this mode, PMT is being descrambled and then clear PMT is processed by E2. If I remember well, PMT contains always video PID, 2 audio PIDs and subtitle PID.

In long mode it could be possible to have subtitles by adding cache type 9 entry into lamedb. But I have to check output of E2 webif and script needs to be updated.

I did have c:09 entries in lamedb but somehow subtitles never showed.

Hi,

I was trying to get this 27,5w working with DM8000 + additional bcm4505 tuner as tuner C + OpenPLI4. Didn't work out for me. Has anyone managed this?

Inserted the tuner, it was detected in addition to the two built-in bcm4506 and it started working fine with other satellites. But on 27.5w it did not find any channels, although the satfinder showed signal on 11495V. After I inserted the transponder part and the channel definitions into lamedb, it even showed signal in the infobar. But no matter which mode (long/short) or demux I used, it never worked. Even dvbsnoop -s pidscan did not return anything. Seems like the driver that is built into dm8000 image does not support the high SR, even though the 4505 tuner does.

I got the same 4505 tuner working in DM800 + OpenPLI2.1, even the audio on HD channels (long, demux0). So my lamedb and config should be good.

Any ideas regarding the DM8000 + 4505? Can I somehow use the driver from dm800 on dm8000?

Hi pryggi. Are you saying that with OpenPLI2.1 you are clearing these channels as of today, march the 9th? Or did you any other day after february the 27th?

I've been asking if anyone can help with setting up my 800SE clone.
I guess the first questing is does it matter which image I use, it is implied that after reading many posts that the only image that will work with both 28.2E CCcam and 27.5W OSCam is OpenPli 4.0 later than 28-2-14 (for HD audio)

There are many posts from many people claiming it can be done while other just say 'change the box for Technomate'

I have tried to follow many threads but to no avail.

My original question was can it be done?

I have a 2 dish setup, one on 28.2E which I am able to watch the full package and the other on 27.5W which after a scan I picked up all the channels but due to the Biss encryption I an unable to see anything.

On 27.5 I have a good signal and a lock. My neighbour on the same shared system already has both up and running using the Dreambox for the 28.2 and Technomate for the 27.5 channels which although this works it is far from ideal, switching boxes instead of changing over the channel.

I wondered if anyone has this working with a 2 dish or motorised set up.

If anyone has achieved this and can help with a basic 1,2,3 set up (idiots guide) where to put what files and what image to use, I along with many others would be very grateful.

OK, first of all, I don't know if it works on clone DM800 box, but when I set this up on my box I ran into some trouble, too.

I think doublet did a great job here, but this thread has become quite long and it might be important to name a few basics in one place that need to be done before activating the script.

Here is my step by step howto:

 

First of all you need to use the openpli 4.0 image in your box - Enigma of this image has been patched to support sound on HD channels at 27.5W.

did you  install dvbsnoop ? - If not, you need to do it !

To be on the safe- side update opkg, too:

 

Telnet your box and type "opkg update" after update type "opkg install dvbsnoop", it's on the feed of PLi.

I'm using oscam_ymod18t49 with the keys in oscam.keys, a service key list can be found in the forum thread, you should use the list, it's up to date and just replace the "xxxxxxxxxxxxx" by the right key ! - Key for oscam_ymod needs to be in the path specified by oscam startup and is named oscam.keys. if you have the right keys try to use oscam_ymod with a working channel like ORF to check if oscam_ymod is working.

I used the files of the bbc_pmt_v4.zip archive and as explained copied it to /usr/bin and rights to 755.

Next step is to edit the bbc_pmt_starter.sh to start the script in long mode. the line: scriptName="bbc_pmt_v4.py -t short -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux3" needs to look like this: scriptName="bbc_pmt_v4.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 "

-------- OH by the way - You need to enable the webIF of your box, if you have "http authentification" enabled your pmt script line needs to look like this:scriptName="bbc_pmt_v4.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 -a root:your_password ".

Now you are nearly done, last thing to do is to edit your channel-list- file, it's called lamedb. For all the SD BBC channels you just need to make sure that the channel parameter "f:4" is not present in the channel tuning data, my BBC twoHD data in lamedb looks like this:

BBC Two HD
p:BBC,c:0017d5,c:0317d5,c:050001,c:1217d6,f:5

most important f:4 has to be replaced by f:5 for all the 27.5 channels, for the HD channels you need to insert c:1217d6 additionally to get sound. This example is for BBC twoHD, you find the c:12... values in this forum thread.

 

Good luck, it worked for me on ct9100 just fine.

 

 

I tried with mgcamd and it works fine, too (mgcamd 1.38)

Hallo.

1) DM 880se.

2) Oscam Ymode with right keys.

3) Open PLI from 12.03.14.

4) Files from bbc_pmt_v5.zip in usr/bin 755 attr.

5) dvbsnoop in in usr/bin 755 attr.

6)Total Freezing on every try to get BBC channlel form 27.5W (when I ve chosen anyone channel from this package total freezing and only way to cure situation is hard restarting with switch on/OFF button in rear wall of tuner).

What is wrong?

Another thing about the subtitles.

They all work well but it seems that is impossible to record them.

I tried with a bit of a program but had no joy on recalling them during the playback.

Any ideas?
