Hello,

i have a problem to get BBC.

I have all 3 scipts in /usr/bin/ with cmod 755.

The script is running

root@dream:~# ps ax | grep bbc
  640 ?        S      0:00 /bin/sh /usr/bin/bbc_pmt_starter.sh
  642 ?        S      0:38 /usr/bin/python -u /usr/bin/bbc_pmt_v5.py -t short -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux3
12782 pts/0    S+     0:00 grep bbc

I'm using a dreambox 7020hd v2.

Oscam 1.20 and oscam ymod are running.

Who can help? What did i do wrong?

7020hd v1 works fine with that command line. I suspect some configuration issue with *cam or wrong keys. I would leave just ymod running.

If you had read this topic or a few other similar ones, you would have known it is not possible in the LONG mode.

Hello,

Anyone here is able to use oscam-emu or OSEmu instead of oscam-ymod or mgcamd with these channels?

Thank you

Which version of oscam-ymod is recommended to install  for use with a dm800se and openpli4 for clearing BBC on 27.w

Now you can use oscam rev 10284 or newer too instead of ymod of whatever obscure closed source bin

http://www.streamboa...changeset/10284

Perhaps openpli team can give oscam rev a bump to latest rev so you can actually use the oscam rev out of their openpli feeds

OSCam is open source project and can be verified if nothing secretive is going on. OSCam is supported by its own forum and you have contact with developers and other users. You can build your own binaries.

Ymod is closed source: so anything could be going on in there. That could be a possible risk when used with your own smart cards. Up to you what you prefer and what your requirements are.

ymod is benefiting an open source and collaborative project and only release binary versions.

As far as I know everyone is this thread is/was using this closed version to view these channels.

Now, you can use plain oscam, true open source version.

I had to reflash my Ultimo again.

What I´m doing wrong here with editing the lamedb?

Init 4

Editing the lamedb with notepad 2

saving it

init 3

And I see every channel ereased from my box. "no channels"

I get all back ´cos I have saved in Dreamset but can´t edit channels to get 27,5 west running again...

Not sure at all what do do here...

I have a question on the practical aspects of LONG and SHORT modes.

From what we know, SHORT mode works only on Dreamboxes (can somebody please confirm the models?, perhaps all?) and, reportedly, on VU Duo2, which is surprising because none of the other VU+ models seem to work in this mode.

What are the differences between the two?

In the LONG mode it is not possible to:

- record in standby

- record subtitles

- record one and watch another channel

Are these three working in the SHORT mode? Any other differences?

Does anyone else know of any other models that work in the SHORT mode?

Hello Robinson and thank you very much for this post.

I didn't know that LONG mode didn't record in standby - I just was not able to understand why sometimes my receiver (not a DM by the way) records and why sometimes don't.

I am looking for a receiver that can record subtitles, doesn't mater if in standby or watching another channel or not, so let's hope that the answer comes quikly :-)

EDIT:

I remember that doublet some pages up said that he owns a DM 500 and is able to record subtitles in short mode.

Hello,

I've got a bit of unusual problem. I've just installed a second satellite dish. It's fixed for 27,5W in addition to my motorised dish. I want to keep both options to receive 27,5W channels - from my new dish and from my motorized dish. In order to tune in bbc from both dishes I created "virtual" satellite position (5,1W) because Enigma2 cannot have same satellite position for 2 LNBs. The thing is, that the channels from the "virtual" position got different "namespace". From what I think, namespace is some combination of frequency and sat.position, maybe more. If you store 11495V channels normally from 27,5W, Enigma2 always create namespace for them "CFDACE7". If you store them from different "virtual" position, the name space is different, in case of 11495V and 5,1W it is "DDDACE7". This namespace thing does not matter for free or normally encoded channels, but the bbc_pmt script does not work for more than one namespace. There is a line in bbc_pmt script that says: namespace = ":CFDACE7:". If I change it to ":DDDACE7:" it works for the new position I created, but not for the normal 27,5W. The big question for me is: Is there a way to alter the script, so it works for both namespaces? Or is there any other work around to this problem?

I cannot help you with altering the script. Maybe doublet can but I'm a little surprised by what you are saying: "Enigma2 cannot have same satellite position for 2 LNBs."

Is this really true?

Can you explain properly why you believe you need a fake position? Of course you can have more than one LNB on one satellite. What you can't do is have more than one LNB on one satellite on the same tuner (which wouldn't make any sense anyway).

Hi,

i have receiver Amiko Alien2 Triple+, e2_openpli_spark7162.

It's possible run scripts published here and get reception of BBC channel on this receiver?

Thank you

Fitor
