Robertooo, I have these but need to check this evening if they are still working:

Thanks. I've used the same extra parameters what you've written but it's not working at me now, but earlier it was OK. I can't see what's happened.

Do you have the STB set to 100% like it should be?

Yes STB is 100%. Channels from different satelites are loud only 27,5W is quiet.

I had this problem too with the ET9000 based on MIPS processor. I do not have the problem anymore with the SF4008 based on ARM processor.

Maybe you can solve it with the "automatically volume adjust" plugin. With its help you can store the desired loudness for every service.

A possible solution is to use the mp2 audio if available, it has often somewhat louder.

Anyone here using a motorised dish to receive BBC at 27.5W?

Can you please confirm if you observe the following:

- position your dish far from 27.5W, eg. 13E,

- set a short timer for 27.5W,

- put the receiver in standby,

- timer activates and moves your dish to 27.5W.

After the timer is finished, turn on your box and check the recording. In my case it is always 0 if the "journey" to 27.5W takes longer than about 15-20 seconds.

I think this has to do with Oscam.

Can somebody please confirm?

- - - - -

It seems there is something that stops triggering softcam after 15-20 seconds of "no signal". But this only happens for 27.5W channels.

No other channels are affected, even if they are "normal" BISS channels.

I will try Oscam logging within the next few days.

By the way, it looks like streaming does not have that problem, only timer recording.

After some investigation, it looks like Oscam is not to be blamed. Its log shows the channel is decrypted but there is no recording.

I have 2 Enigma logs:

- Timer 1 - timer activated when dish is about 15 deg away (recording OK),

- Timer 2 - timer activated when dish is about 30 deg away (recording NOK)

Attached File  Timer1Enigma.txt   61.78KB   6 downloads

Attached File  Timer2Enigma.txt   67.06KB   7 downloads

Does anyone know why there is no recording for Timer 2?

Does anyone know why there is no recording for Timer 2?

I cannot answer to this precise question, but, yes it also happens to me.

My personal solution, not bulletproof, yet still working well 98% of the times, is to set the timer to not just "record", but "zap & record".

Works almost always on my DB7020HD.

Yes, it is a workaround but in my case "zap & record" switches the TV on (HDMI-CEC), which is not desirable.

Anyway, I shortened the logs a little bit by removing the part before timer activation (and rotor movement) as well as the last part.

So here is a log of the successful recording:

M8, can't you easily turn off HDMI checking or at least take the TV out of standby into a complete 'kill'? :)

What makes "[TIMER] activating state 2"?

In second log state 2 is too early (before tuned).

athoik, I don't know. Maybe some more detailed Enigma debugging would help?

You are probably right.

I guess the dish starts moving too late and does not reach 27.5W before the timer is supposed to start recording. The timer starts but the dish is still about 10 deg away from 27.5W.

But on the other hand, I think something like that does not disturb recording on non-27.5W channels. But I will check it again.

Here are my further observations:

1) If the "distance" to the target satellite is about 25 degrees or more, the recording indeed starts before the dish arrives at the correct satellite. This, however, does not prevent recording any other services, no matter if they are scrambled or not. The issue is only present with 27.5W timer recordings in standby. The red diode does not light up on the display at all.

2) Even if I set my rotor speed very slow in tuner settings (MENU - 6 - 2 - 1 - positioner USALS), the dish does not start its journey any earlier so it looks like this option does not have any impact on how much in advance of the timed recording the dish starts moving so in all cases of about 25 degrees or more away recordings start before the dish arrives to its correct position, which causes the recordings to be shorter than they should be - THIS ISSUE CONCERNS ALL CHANNELS AND IS NOT RELATED EXCLUSIVELY TO 27.5W.

3) The issue described in point 1) concerns only recording. It does not concern OpenWebIf streaming.

All the BBC-on-27.5W-stuff worked pretty well for me when I am using my VU+ Duo2 and openatv 6.1.

Now I am using my brandnew Dream 920 UHD with OE2.5 and Gemini 3.3. Is there any chance to get the channels on 27.5W clear? Nothing works for me even I have tried everything.

I am a bit frustated.
