Which lamedb for VU Ultimo 4K?

https://forums.openp...ndpost&p=791234

Sorry to be a pest, but where does this lamedb go?

This file is in \etc\enigma2 and contains info about all channels. You cannot just replace your current file with the one posted at the link, then you will have only 27.5w-channels :)

You need to edit the current lamedb-file so the 27.5w entries look like the ones on the link. Edited while enigma2 is turned off (init 4).

Maybe it is easier for you to use an editor for lamedb, there are a few but I don't know much about that. Should be covered earlier in this thread.

There is no guide and setup is no different than for other Enigma2 boxes.

You just need oscam-emu, softcam.key and correct lamedb.

Thanks Robinson,

from what I have read I also understood it was only those three things I needed to sort out however I am still having no luck getting the channels to clear.

Which oscam-emu? the one supplied with the image?

Where exactly should those other files be placed?

cheers

Forget the above, got it sorted, well after a fashion.

My softkey file has no listings for the radio channels can anyone point me to the correct settings for these?

cheers

Sorry for being an idiot but my memory is failing me as I get older.

How do I dind the entries for 27.5W in my existing LameDB?

I have searched but find several entries for the channels but I don't know which ones are on 27.5W as the same channels can also be found on 28E.

I don't want to edit the wrong ones. :D

Hello folks;

I had this working for years, but after a software upgrade all is dark.

I have vu+ duo and latest openvix image.

Trying to follow the original instructions set that worked in 2015, I can't load oscam ymod onto the current box image.

Above it's said that oscam emu will work; I've installed that.

But after 2 days of trying, I haven't got it to work.

I have a key file tiled "oscam.keys". I gather in oscam-emu I need a file titled 'softcam.keys'. Can I just rename the file? where should it go?

I did try already...

I also have a file called 'script' [contents oscam.sh] and one called 'camscript' [contents Ncam-oscam.sh].

I loaded the last working lameb file already as instructed.

thanks, gracias, obrigado, merci, etc!

Yes, as they're the same ones that worked before 'upgrading' the box. Also, the channel list shows in the epg and I believe that information is drawn from the lamedb file.

I just have no idea how to configure oscam; I've googled it and simply do not understand the technical jargon.

I can type in or copy a line, ftp a file into a location, but computer code is just squiggly greek to me.

Use the oscam -emu that is packaged with your image

softcam.key should be in  /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-emu

lamdb in /etc/enigma2

You dont need the scripts now, hope this helps

cheers

Thanks V12;

I tried as you suggested, no luck.

It could be that my key file isn't right; my old one [that worked] is titled "oscam.keys"

I renamed it "SoftCam.keys" [and sotftcam.key] Perhaps it needs reformatting or something?

Or a completely different keyfile?

I looked inside it, seems to be filled with hundreds of lines that are not relevant to me, as well as a line for each channel I hope to get back.

????????????????????????????

Give the lamebd I linked to a try. The one I had earlier worked pre-upgrade, but looked slightly different than the one in the link.

Gaston; I did as you suggested, but when I start oscam -emu I still get the window saying; "no config file found"

The only thing in the config file is the keyfile.

If there isn't supposed to be anything else there then I assume my keyfile is wrong [although I'm sure the keys themselves are right since they worked until the reflash].

In the list of Huevos #1135, (Thanks for.) CBBC and BBC RB 1 are the same data. Can someone correct parameters for BBC RB 1?

These do not work for me either:  BBC Alba, BBC RB 0, STV HD, BBC Four HD, UTV HD

Hello stupid question from a newbie at 27,5w, Trying to find out how to do this.

1. you need to change your lamdb in /etc/enigma2 with this https://forums.openp...ndpost&p=791234

2 Than softcam.key should be in  /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-emu but I have no oscam-emu?

Shall you create a file with that name oscam-emu and place the keys in?

Can someone tell me if this is the way to do this.

You need to actually install Oscam-emu, should be able to do that from the setup of your image.
