Hello everyone!

After almost 10 years of having different Dreamboxes I lost my Vu+ virginity to Duo2. :)

Can someone please list all the files (procedures I need to do for this box). After installing an image I thought first thing i need to install is enigma2-plugin-cams-oscam-ymodv18-51-cccam-2.3.0_vix_all.ipk (I need to use CCcam at the same time).

...after this I need to run those scripts from bbc_pmt_v5.zip

The biggest challenge for me is the Oscam part because I'm totally unfamiliar with it. I'm not sure what all I need to configure to make it work?

Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this has been questioned before (I tried to read the whole thread but I couldn't find all those answers).

I would say: exactly the same as you did with a dreambox? There is no difference to the way they work (unless you're coming from DM500's... ;)).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

The thing is that I never got this work with my 500HD. I got CCcam and Oscam ymod running without any issues but now I need to check what else I need to do to get the picture.

I came this far:

root@vuduo2:/usr/bin# /usr/bin/bbc_pmt_v5.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux1
capmtType: long, demux: /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux1
currentSid: 0x4440
trying with demux /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux1
pmtPid: 0x17d4
Error(145): read (PID 0x17d4): Connection timed out
0x9f 0x80 0x32 0x19 0x03 0x44 0x40 0x09 0x00 0x13 0x01 0x81 0x08 0x0c 0xfd 0xac 0xe7 0x10 0x00 0x00 0x01 0x82 0x02 0x02 0x01 0x84 0x02 0x17 0xd4
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/bbc_pmt_v5.py", line 124, in <module>
    s.send(buffer(capmt))
socket.error: [Errno 134] Transport endpoint is not connected

Now I'm not sure what is the actual reason behind this error. I've even renamed s.connect_ex(("/tmp/camd.socket")) -> s.connect_ex(("/var/volatile/tmp/camd.socket"))

...as some suggested but still black screen + "Timeout reading PMT". :(

First of all, thanks for this script to anyone involved in development

i get it running on my dm800HD se with satdreamgr 4.0 image,v5 version of script

all channels work, both on short and long version on demux0,with audio and video

only problem ( and I read wholle thread, how things must be ) is after restart script not start automatically, only manualy by telnet command

what am I missing, and how to resolve this

try to put & in pmt starter.sh  without results

any help is welcome

In which folder are your three scripts? Sounds like path is not found. Look into .profile file if path is listed. Or put them in folder of path. Besides when you call command "ps" is the script listed? And when you start it manually you see it correct?

Best to put them into /usr/bin

I re-installed dvdsnoop and now i get this:

root@vuduo2:~# /usr/bin/bbc_pmt_v5.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
capmtType: long, demux: /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
currentSid: 0x11c0
trying with demux /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
pmtPid: 0x0190
Error(145): read (PID 0x0190): Connection timed out

Nothing happens in console, no matter how long I wait....and also ..Timeout reading PMT.

I had the same error message that time above in your 524 post. The reason was that the CAM did not work. Perhaps the same issue, try to use oscam ymod only.

Only oscam ymod running:

root@vuduo2:~# /usr/bin/bbc_pmt_v5.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
capmtType: long, demux: /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0

I think my Problem is the lamedb, I am not sure what are the right pids pcr etc..... So the message of time PTM on the screen come again and again.

Could anybody paste just the BBC channels lines from lamedb here please? I tried with some of the thread posted before but with no good results. Because, as well, the box change the lines when I restart it.

I use Mgcam1.8c with the correct information ...............

Good

The ones that were posted here are OK.

Remember that you have to stop Enigma to edit lamedb. If you just copy and paste it will not work.

I don't understand this...

With useful help from one forum member I managed to get ITV HD's picture but for some reason PMT is still not showing in service information.

Also I have an issue where ITV HD works fine after Duo2's reboot. When I try to check other channels the picture is black on every one of them. When I switch back to ITV HD picture stays black no matter how long I wait.

Any ideas/solution for this?

ps. My lamedb is here as an attachment.

Hi again everybody!

My dish pointing to 27.5W is now aligned properly. The above lamedb file did the trick! Thanx to everyone involved!

Hi again everybody!

I have problem with short (2-3 sec.) freezing (blackout, shaking) of vdeo on every (SD, HD) channels.

It is looks like problem with signal reception, but signal is rather good (9.0 db) and on other tuner (Dr HD d15) everything ok.

I tried to cam restart, tuner restart but still the same situation.

Any idea to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Happy Easter

Hi everyone,

First of all i would like to thank doublet for the script and everyone involved in this topic for all the good tips.

I manage to run the script thru telnet but it doesn't start automatically after reeboot.

I have the three files in usr/bin attr 755, the path is right on .profile but when I telnet ps i' m not able to see it.

Has anyone that had this problem before manage to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Usually there is no problem with automatic startup, maybe your E2 is somehow special. Normally E2 is started by /usr/bin/enigma2.sh script which checks for /usr/bin/enigma2_pre_start*.sh presence:

# hook to execute scripts always before enigma2 start
for i in `ls /usr/bin/enigma2_pre_start*.sh 2> /dev/null`; do
        [ -x $i ] && $i || /bin/true
done

So we have our custom enigma2_pre_start.sh which starts bbc_pmt_starter.sh which should never exit and should (re)start bbc_pmt_v5.py.

You can try to enable logging in bbc_pmt_starter.sh like this:

#logName=/dev/null
logName=/tmp/bbc_pmt.log

Then after E2 restart check /tmp/bbc_pmt.log to see what is happening.

I had this problem .So i removed starter script files from usr/bin ,unzipped them again and replaced them with new unzipped files to usr/bin set values at 755 . that worked for me ,

Thanks for your help guys, i've tried replace the files with new ones but the result was the same.

permission denied when i try to enable logging in bbc_pmt_starter.sh:

I'm using a amiko alien 2, the enigma2.sh is located in /usr/local/bin.

it works great when i tenet : bbc_pmt_v5.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0

Any ideas?
