No:
1)Rewind not working more speed << 2
2)At the end of rewinding playback does not start.

At the moment, all is well, nothing to change is not necessary.
Is that the correct plugin PTS.

Thanks for adapting the plugin! I'll test with it tomorrow (currently my stb is in use).

To 1: Some guys have already reported that they cannot increase rewind speed. With normal timeshift is was possible for me.
To 2: Do you rewind until the beginning of the timeshift file? Or how do you stop rewinding? With pause or with Ok?
With normal timeshift and rewind is running: When I press Ok playback starts normally. When I press 2 times pause to start playback there is 2-3 seconds long still picture.

I have installed the plugin. Testing is quite difficult because of green screens (because of checkTimeshift function).

http://openpli.org/f...post__p__334512

I have pressed rewind key while watching live tv. Once I had a totally black screen for several seconds. Did you mean this?
The other times it worked without problems (except the known problem with rewind key that it don't work for me everytime).

Hi Dima73,

the plugin works quite well. Thanks!

I cannot confirm your problems. I have commented out the 3 lines in InfoBarGenerics. I can increase rewind speed starting with 2x to 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x.
And also playback starts after rewind without problems (better than with normal timeshift).
Can you post a log?

So how could it be better with pts? ;)

Can you post a log?

I can not repeat the mistake.
I do not know what it depends on.
And if it is so important to remove these three lines of InfoBarGenerics.py, because they can be moved to the PTS plugin.
This is a python, not C++.

P.S.In fact, no need to thank me. You yourself have done the work.
Fix a couple of lines in a finished plugin is not difficult :) .

C++ is not so difficult, if you have already programmer skills (but it's more work to build a binary and so on). And I also do little changes to existing code ;) .

I don't care about the 3 lines. I only wanted to know what problem it is and whether I can fix it.

Now, I think, it works almost perfectly.
But I do not use plugin PTS, only the standard timeshift.

I have this problem with it:
Timeshift is enabled and I'm at live point. I press rewind key (<<). Rewind starts. When I press Ok, playback starts without problems. But when I press play, then it pauses and after pressing play again I have 5 seconds still pictures (permanent timeshift plugin MUST be deinstalled. With the plugin activated or not, it works well).

With the plugin when I press the first time play while rewinding it don't pause. I see the same while watching a normal recording: Pressing play starts immediately playback and don't pause.

I was not able to repeat similar.
Since I do not know what the Life TV for standard timeshift .
Does it exist?

But I have another question ...
1)Start standard timeshift=pause
2)Wait 1-2 minutes
3)Fast forward >> 2/ >> 4/ >> 8 and etc is OK
4)Rewind only << 2, the second press rewing is a pause and again << 2
So it should be, this is normal behavior?

If Permanent Timeshift install rewing(<<2/<<4 and etc) works OK,but if you fast forward to the end of the play does not start.
Else
rewing only <<2 ,but if you fast forward to the end of the play start OK.

No...
Test standart/normal timeshift

1)If permanent timeshift install, rewing(<<2/<<4 and etc) works OK,but if you fast forward to the end of the play does not start
2)if remove permanent timeshift, rewing only <<2 ,but if you fast forward to the end of the play start

Who will confirm?

Hi Dima73,

without plugin I can confirm that only <<2 is possible (well sometimes I have <<4 but isn't not reproducible).
But I have problems with fast forward >>. Playback doesn't start at live point(=timeshift file end).

Let's see whether I can see something in the logs. There must be a difference between timeshift playback and a normal recording playback...

First, check the patch.
And remove the plugin PTS.

The problem with seeking speed is the following. Rewind key is mapped to timeshiftActivateEnd. If timeshift is already active, timeshiftActivateEnd pauses the service and starts rewind after 200 milliseconds. I think pause resets speed to 2x. So it always runs with 2x speed.

I don't have your problems with start of file recognition. At timeshift start-of-file playback starts without problems.
