The question here is.... why does it give "wait for driver eof timeout" in the logs given....?

Check for the backup from 30/12/2012.
Rewind in PTS also works through time.
This patch http://openpli.git.s...a048b5b0dcf1aa6 is absolutely nothing in common.
The issue is closed.

Unfortunately i don`t own a backup from 30/12. I`m not able to find a OpenPLi-3.0-beta-vuuno-20121230_usb.zip file anywhere on the internet.

hmm, the problem is not:
wait for driver eof timeout
but rather
wait for driver eof ok
reached EOF, but we are in stream mode. delaying 1 second.
eDVBChannel: End of file!

just made some tests with tstools change reverted - unpausing works as it should each time, and logs are identical as one I posted few posts above...
seems that this patch have triggered some bug in vu drivers, or... /?/

thanks blzr !
I was sure that this commit brought the problem.
Now I hope that the solurion wont be to wait for vu drivers update or swapping the uno for a ET box ...

I have the exact same problem here with the Vu+ Duo and the latest firmware.

Recently a lot is going on: Dreambox kernel being updated, SOLO2 support being introduced .... Devs are busy.
Let`s hope our issue wont be left unattended.

Please note... when it is a (VU) driver issue we cannot fix it....

How can it be a driver issue if the problem didn't exist with the firmware a few months ago? With the firmware from somewhere in November timeshifting did work without any problem.
As a workaround i am using the record instead of the timeshifting function.

On my 800se unpausing worked 100% well minimal whole autumn. This week, when I had used it, I saw, problem with unpausing - STOP timeshift was possible only.
(Fortunately, I can unpause it from plugin, where I have button for unpause.)

If it is problem about which is here wroted, i can confirm it...

Usualy, when was problem with unpause, then after "stop timeshift" was possible use TS again well. One time i got status, that each timeshift was not possible unpause.

But it was, that I used some time update... When I rebuild whole new image and flash it, it seems, all is ok again.

When you improve something.... bugs in drivers that does not appear previously may appear (triggered)....

Nonsense, it not so. It is necessary to correct simply.

Why?

It is necessary to correct simply.

What is the fix then?

Just tried timeshift, but couldn't find anything wrong with it. Can someone summarize what EXACTLY one has to do to trigger it?

(as for normal playback, I never watch anything live, so i'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with that either)

@MIlo nice to see you around

Please jump one page back and you will see all the problem description. I think already 4 people with a VU+ Box confirmed that unpausing is not working as it should.
I`m affraid you will not be able to trigger it as long as you have a VU+ box, but three logs have been posted on page 3 where the behavior can be observed.
Also on this page blzr is posting some useful information.
