Hi,
just installed last OpenPli. After installed by extensions manager the AF9035 driver for my AverMedia Volar Green HD A835 USB DTT pen, I restart e2 but no way, the usb DTT pen can't be recognized. Even with a full reboot the situation is the same.
What can I do?

I' ve been told that the dependencies doesn't load.
Same problem on our board.
@pieterg you want this user to plugin the stick and then to open a telnet session and enter the dmesg command?
I see this command lists what it mounts, in my case the Nova HD.

Just a remark to zappomax.
Please put your usb stick in the rear of your decoder, mine didn't work in the front usb.

indeed

but 'just after you plugged in the device' dmesg should show what happened when the device was detected.

You mean without restart?
In my case it did only show that the usb was removed, but only detected after full restart, but it' s a Nova.

you should see activity after plugging the device. If not, the problem is hardware related.

How did you install the af9035 drivers?
I think that the 9035 package is not been made by openpli. (maybe forgotten?)

You should install
kernel-module-dvb-usb-af9035
firmware-dvb-usb-af9035-01 (Which seems not yet been build in openpli)
For firmware unpack the attachment and place the file in directory /lib/firmware

OK. I was wrong...
There's no af9035 driver (Why??) in the list of downloadable dvb drivers on "Download plugin" panel on OpenPli image.
I've installed the af9035 driver with another image OpenPli based (Xtrend Support Alliance v1).
After the dmesg command on that image, I get:

we did not create a meta package for this device (because no one of the developers has this type of device, so we do not know which frontends / firmwares are needed to make it work).
But, all necessary drivers are in the feed.
Start with kernel-module-dvb-usb-af9035, and see what other modules (or firmware) it needs.
dmesg will tell you, when you plug the device.

(btw, your dmesg output is not complete, the interesting messages should follow just after the piece you've copied here)

you need dvb-usb-af9035-02.fw, as Dima73 says (as you can see in your dmesg output)
Just follow the dmesg output step by step, till you have no more errors.
