Hello all,
I upgraded from my old faithful Dreambox 7025+ to a new 7020HD about a month ago. I love the new hardware and delighted with its performance.
The only issue that I have is the Blue LED on the Front Panel. It NEVER turns off. I have tried it with various Images and there was no difference. I am currently running OPENPLI 3.0 updated to its newest version.
I have also downloaded the LED manager app and tried to influence the LED but unfortunately I remain without success. LED is always on even in Standby.
I have reached the end of my patience and I am requesting your help. What can I do. How can I manually turn off the LED. Could it be a file rights issue in the file system (chmod?). Can I edit some line of code manually? If so which one?
Asking for the the experts help here.
cheers
Tim

Bag 58 > It did not do this with the Original DM image. I would like to find a solution for OpenPLI because its the image that I like the most. On top of that aren't we as a community sharing issues and trying to improve OpenPLI images?
I would like to know if I am the only one out there or are there other DM 7020HD users who experience the same Blue LED problem.
Pedro_Newbie > thanks for that idea unfortunately on the DM forum some other German guy offered the same advise. Not really the high end solution Im looking for.

You are now giving information you did not give in your first post. There you said it never turned off, with the various images you tried. Which prompted my question...

The LED Manager plugin works fine with the 7020HD and can be configured as required.
The Led Manager plugin is accessed via the undernoted menus
Setup>System>Led Manager
You then have the following options to configure the LED as required.
LED 0: Box is on
LED 0: Box is on and recording
LED 0: Box is standby
LED 0: Box is standby and recording
You can configure the LED to be off, on or too blink for each of the states.

extrasmooth > I have LED Manager installed on my 7020HD running current OpenPLI. Unfortunately the program does not seem to do anything. I have tried all the possible combinations possible but I remain without success. All my LED settings are OFF but the Blue LED is ALWAYS on. This has been my issue all along.
How can I manually turn off all the LEDs in the CODE? Is there a way. I really do not understand why even when the LED manager is installed, all the LED are always on. I was thinking maybe this was a chmod issue, not sure.
Does anyone know which file I can edit to manually turn off the LEDs? In openPLI etc..?
