Is there a way to backup my image on my vu+ duo? There is no option in the settings other than to backup the settings.

Use backup-vu+duo-hdd.ipk or backup-vu+duo-usb.ipk
Ask ggle for scripts & manual.

Settings backup is quick and easy, you really don't need more than that. Remember this is an embedded software box, not a PC.
If you insist, there's a full backup plugin that does what you ask, I think it's called "backup suite" and you can get it from the standard PLi list of extensions.

Because backup suite doesn't support Dreambox.
Use full backup by Dimitrij, i think it supports Dreamboxes.
