The one that is in the feed works fine (I use it on all my boxes), so if you got an error, it's most likely something local.
For example a result of a manually installed font (some completely screw up the image by overwriting python code).

I don't know what you did, what you see, and what you did before.
All I can tell you is that on a clean flash, you can install the MyMetrix Mod skin from the feed, and it works without problems. As I said, it runs on all my boxes, just installed it from the feed, and activated it.
And yes, it is not the same as the original skin, as that doesn't work properly on OpenPLi. Which is why there is a mod in the first place...

The problem is the other way around, MyMetrix doesn't support OpenPLi.
People keep making the mistake by thinking that all Enigma2 firmware is the same. It isn't.
OpenPLi's skin renderer is far more advanced then the original DMM one, and not 100% compatible. Same for the code, skin makers constantly make the assumption that it is safe to simply replace system files with their modded versions. It isn't, and since OpenPLi is not a DMM derivative, replacing files lead to crashes.
The skin that is in our Feed (and the topic of these posts) is a stripped version to make it compatible.

OpenATV has adapted it as their default skin.
I believe their Enigma2 base is based on OpenPLI, so maybe you can give it a try: https://github.com/openatv/MetrixHD

Just tried and it works.
Donwload zip file (bottom right of the page)
Extract
Copy/past each file/folder in the corresponding folder on your box.
Restart Enigma2
Use MyMetrixLite plugin to configure your skin.
That's all.
Maybe this one can be added to build process and get it on the feeds????

there is a bug with the latest build and this skin when you zap. Can anyone release a new version of this skin?
ex: zap 1 to 5

And what is this bug? Because a skin doesn't really have anything to do with zapping...

when you zap (using the numbers) the screen gets dimmed then after 1 second it zaps, and on the solo2 screen it says "quickzap"
this stuff wasnt happening with older builds.

flashed a backup from 27/02/2014 and its normal again. So something definitely broke it with the latest builds

All this was done to get the numberzap also to the vfd...
It is a pain that code and skins are so bounden in e2.
See the sources of the magic skin, default skin and pli-hd skin how to adapt numberzap (labels should be changed to sources with render label, that's all)
Hopefully build on openpli images will also adapt this... So soon the skins also adapt. It does not make to add too much extra code and duplicate sources just for being backwards compatible.
When we do not have the latest ipk if this skin, please post it here...
P.s. It is not a bug, the skin should adapt...

It's not that simple. ATV have their own skin-engine and their E2 is not the same as PLi's. The skin's they use have been adapted to work with their image.OpenATV has adapted it as their default skin.
I believe their Enigma2 base is based on OpenPLI, so maybe you can give it a try: https://github.com/openatv/MetrixHD
So although it may work at a certain point, it is asking for trouble to use it in an other image. The images are deviating mare and more from each other.

We did indeed made some skin optimalizations to the number zap where skins that have a seperate screen for numberzap should adapt for,
All this was done to get the numberzap also to the vfd...
