Update: you could also try this on-the-fly generated ipk, w/0 the gsm,libtheora dependency.

P.S. sorry for the double post, couldn't edit first one

Can other test IF there is some problem w/ the ipk? Please also consider downloading it again.
Thx

P.S. if you did install the first version too, you might need to uninstall it first:
opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-dlnaserver

Please give the output of md5sum and check what the extraction via ar does (does the ipk archive extract correctly the control.tar.gz, data.tar.gz, debian-binary files):
ar x enigma2-plugin-extensions-dlnaserver_1.0-r0_mips32el.ipk

You are also free to build the archive (ipk) yourself (if you want w/ the additional dependencies removed) from SOURCE (link is some posts above), then there is for sure NO problem w/ download/md5sum mismatch (try googling around or searching for the right topics on this very same OpenPli forum iff you do not know how to build the ipk).

Sorry, I have no idea why it should work for me (also after remove and download from this forum and reinstall) AND for you not.

Hi guys,

Just installed a clean openpli yesterday, and I encountered this issue. Apparently the libtheora0 packages has been renamed to libtheora in the feed, thus breaking dependencies. If you have installed the package before the rename, the installation will work flawlessly.

So for now I installed the dependency manually, plus the ipk without the dependency, but is there any way of reporting this to the package maintainer?

regards

Today i try to install DLNAserver (1.0-r0) package (minidlna).

It gives a error message:

Cannot satisfy the following dependencies:

libgsm1

libtheora0

When i try to download these missing dependencies in telnet i get this:

root@dm8000:~# opkg install libgsm1 libtheora0
Unknown package 'libgsm1'.
Unknown package 'libtheora0'.
Collected errors:
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package libgsm1.
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package libtheora0.

Question: when do we get a working DLNA server in openpli3.0 for dm8000 ?
I switched today from using Opendreambox OE2.0 + Geminiplugin3.2 more then a year to Openpli 3.0 for DM8000.
Reason was: the DVDburn plugin with BDMV burning support is as today still not working. (weird, because a working demo presentation video from DMM is already more then a year old) . And blindscan is something what i didn't use often.
So I use Open pli again (more easy with hans settingslist and oscam update from pli feed, and realtime rytec epg support)

Dreambox Dm8000 with all hardware addons donated to OpenPli. No interests anymore in policy of CanalDigitaal / M7 group and now-a-days channel encryption (like CI+ / HD+).

Good luck Enigma2 / OpenPli, it was fun with Sky Movies and so on, collected a nice collection of movies. Now back to basic boring lineair TV with KPN iTV (VDSL2 pair bonding 219 / 63 Mbps).

The VDSL pair bonding is excellent for... torrents to NAS in higher quality then HDTV (Like Dolby-TrueHD or DTS-Master-Audio soundquality ) :D

Hello, install clear mimidlana "opkg install minidlna"

Then via telnet /etc/init.d/minidlna stop

And config your folders in /etc/minidlna.conf

My sample:

# set this to the directory you want scanned.
# * if have multiple directories, you can have multiple media_dir= lines
# * if you want to restrict a media_dir to a specific content type, you
#   can prepend the type, followed by a comma, to the directory:
#   + "A" for audio  (eg. media_dir=A,/home/jmaggard/Music)
#   + "V" for video  (eg. media_dir=V,/home/jmaggard/Videos)
#   + "P" for images (eg. media_dir=P,/home/jmaggard/Pictures)
media_dir=V,/media/hdd/movie
media_dir=V,/media/hdd/Video

Then via telnet /etc/init.d/minidlna start

Apparently some required packages are not built. Somebody interested in DLNA should have a look at that.

OE2.0 (opendreambox what i use now instead of openpli) has dlna server build in in default image that works.
