Does the OpenPli 3.0 image solve the timer problem that exists on some Dreambox 800 HD se boxes (including mine)?

What it is "on some 800 HD se boxes" ?

Do you have original or clone ? Firmware version ?

I'm on a cloned box with openpli v2.1, I can record indefinitely but entering a duration, say 5 mins and the recording does not stop. stop after current event, add recording end time or setting up a timer will not work.

I'm going to try PLI 3 over the next couple of days but somebody told me the problem is with a batch of cloned boxes?

box purchased around Feb last year.

Thanks

Mike

On genuine boxes is no problem, problem is in clones.
We do not support clones.

That's the problem with clones. If you knowingly buy a kit-car that looks like a Ferarri but isn't one, are you going to Maranello to complain if it doesn't do 250 km/u?

Most clones are dodgy and made with inferieur components, which in our long experience can and will cause all kinds of vague issues, that look like software issues, but are related to the dodgy hardware. We have decided long ago that we don't have time to chase ghosts. If the issues can not be replicated on genuine hardware, then it's not an OpenPLi issue.

If you buy a clone, live with the consequences of that descision.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
