I am a user of the vu+duo since years using the PL1 image.
I may subscribe to a French TV provider (BIS) who requires dolby digital Plus. (DDP)
Is DDP supported by PL1?
(I have seen that some other images are supporting it)

I wanted to add that I would like the PL1 image to downmix the DDP as my TV is not DDP compatible!!

I have upgraded recently to a high end panasonic plasma TV compatible with DDP.......but only through the internal TV tuners, not the HDMI. I was not aware of that and discovered it too late.
So I ask my question again, is there a way to downmix DDP with a Vu+Duo with PL1? Some other images (blackhole) are claiming they can do it with no issue.

Support for DDP needs be added in the driver by the manufacturer, it cannot be done in de image.
* Wavefrontier T90 with 28E/23E/19E/13E via SCR switches 2 x 2 x 6 user bands
I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

My guess is that the latest PL1 downloaded from this web site will include these drivers, correct?

what is the date of your image. I didn´t even knew that PLi1 was released for DUO. I would say install a current image and the drivers are included. Make a backup of your system in case you have problems.

I own a vu+ ultimo with dvb-s & dvb-t tuner, PLI 3.0 is installed. I have also a Vu+ duo with PLI 3.0.
My Tv is a Pioneer Plasma (Kuro), without DD+.
All channel using DD+ (or AC3+) are working fine after selecting downmix AC3/DTS option in the Audio menu.

DM5620, DM500S, DM600, DM7000, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, DM8000, ET9200, ET6500, ET7500, ET8500, VU+DUO, VU+ULTIMO, GB800SE, GB800HD all with OpenPLi
Only the DM5620 went off in 2012 ! DM500S, DM600, DM7000 & DM7020 have been sold in 2014.
