Hello,
I am trying to restore my iptables rules on startup. I have a script in the /etc/network/if-pre-up.d directory which is executable and when runs correctly from the command line. However, when I reboot the box my iptables rules list stays empty. Run the script manually restores my rules correctly.

Is there some trick to running starup files? I am not keen on editing the interfaces file to bring them up that way, nor am I about using standard startup script, as it may be possible the there is a delay in bringing up the interface and running the restore-rules script.

Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks
