I'm having problems with Ts-Panel. If I uninstall, disappears all the mount point, including pen, hdd, all /media. Only if I reinstall solves. I'll never be able to uninstall. Why?

Desappear when I reboot the box.

Ahh ! so thats what happened to my XP1000

I installed tspannel to get the OE2.0 version of GSU (Pli feed has only OE1.6) then uninstalled via plugins, lost USB mount. Fixed via GSU

Did read on this forum that most problems occur when uninstalling plugins. In my case found the GSU ipk and now install manualy.

Same happened here, lost /media/ mounts after removing TSPanel. I think TSPanel should be avoided!

The only way to uninstall it is reflash... and do not forget to remove it in /hdd/backup/autoinstall !!!

as littlesat says to TSpanel can not be fully removed due to the way that it overwrites many image critical system files during it's install. to fully remove it you must perform a re-flash.

Hello!

I jump into this thread as my problem might be related to TSPanel.... I am a new user of OpenPLi since a week back so I am still browsing the different menu and "learning" the image. Yesterday I installed few plugins and extension. Today I noticed that my mounts were gone... my esata HDD is not recognized anymore and it seems that I cannot remount it... I guess one thing that I installed yesterday is the source of the problem and I suspect TSpanel as I did an update of its version.

Is there a way to mount the hdd (and keeping TSpanel) or should I just remove TSpanel, flash as mentioned above and then I will get my hdd with its data back?

Thanks in advance for your input!

/Ato

1 - Reinstall the ts panel;

2 - Reboot the box;

and all mount point back.

do not reinstall tspanel, every time when you do a software update of your box you will have the same problem.
tspanel is to be avoided.
don´t forget to remove it in autobackup(if you are using this)

Autobackup made the backupfiles at your harddisk (internal HD or external HD). When you uninstall TSPanel you can't reach your harddisk any more, so first re-install TSpanel. After a reboot you get your harddisk back. Then go to your computer, find your receiver's harddisk and open the autoinstall file and edit it with a right editor (e.g. Notepad ++) remove the line where you see TSpanel. As there are two autoinstall files, I edited both. Now you flash your receiver with a new version of OpenPLi. Everything will be installed back, execpt of the pain in the ass plugin TSPanel! OpenPLi can better remove the TSPanel plugin from their feed to avoid these troubles.

I did this way when I loose my mount point (when I uninstall ts panel):

1 - reinstall ts panel;
2 - reboot the box (to appear again the mount point);
3 - delete the folder (path: /usr/lib/enigma2/pyton/plugins/extensions.........tspanel;
4 - reboot again.

Everyday I did the software update and no problems (I don't have ts panel - plugin list).

I have solo2 and no HDD or usb. So, if I delete the folder (path: /usr/lib/enigma2/pyton/plugins/extensions.........tspanel; and reboot again, will that be enough.

I do not have any HDD for backup.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

Reflashing is easy but need to install all the extensions again and this will take a long time.

That is why I am asking if there is any other ways.

Thanks.
