Hi,

I kneed the driver "kernel-module-dvb-usb-rtl2832" for my USB tuner key TwinTech and every time I load a new version of OpenPli, I have to look for it among thousands of programs and as these programs are not really alphabetically ordered, it's boring to find it. Is it possible to create a plugin?

Thank you.

Hello,

Isn't possible to have a specific plugin to use this driver?

Thank you.

As I have no response, can I deduct my demand is stupid? Yet I've seen specific tuner plugins in the plugin list :( .

Why do we need a seperate plugin to load this driver? That is not clear to me...Once installed it should also be auto installed when you use the autobackup/autoinstall plugin???

I am using the same package to support some rtl2832u and R820T based USB-tuner. It works like a charm, and should be automatic every time the system is booted: i.e. it loads the driver automatically and the tuner simply appears in the available tuner list in enigma2.

I understand sjlouis question just for easiest access to the driver.
Some popular dongles have direct access for driver installation in the plugins area....
Including the Rtl 2832 in this list would avoid lost of time and possible mistake too in the huge packet list as it is mentioned twice..one of them is wrong as it installs one packet only while the rigth one installs 2 ipk needed for proper working...

Why not upgrade incrementally instead of reflashing completely? This will solve your update problem, and you'll never have to find the right package anymore.

Guirigui have understood my problem. And if it' s easier to do incremental updates, an OpenPli member said me to flash image.

Yes, flash the image, once; just once. After that, just incremental updates. It's better for your flash memory too.

Ok, thank you. Yet it woud be more convenient to have the driver in the plugin list to find it ;-) .

hi,
What about using command line?
opkg list | grep rtl2832
opkg install [name of the package you want]

Ok, thank you. It's less convenient than a specific plugin but less boring than to find this driver in a list of thousand programs ^_^ .
