mfaraj, does the gstreamer player accept .srt subtitles?

If yes, would it be possible to write a opensubtitles plugin, which downloads the srt and then start the video with srt.

The ddsubtitle player does not work anymore (geen button for search does nothing) and syncing the subtitles with dd is hard.

Also when using dd, you cannot control the video anymore (for pause for example) because it runs on top of the player.

It updates (from 5.0 to 5.3) to 193% ( :D ), stops, hangs a bit and then asks to restart E2... ;) After the restart it is still 5.0!

 

Once again, the same story tried and - failed, sadly... :(

Correction: when I went to the update menu inside the plugin (main plugin menu > Tools > FIles library > TSmedia updates with yellow button [Force...])!

 

I also updated Python successfully, plus I tried a few other things (avi, rtpm, matroska and MyTube) - but failed...

 

Anyway, I found the way to update TSmedia (and a bit more from it) online... ;) :)

Why offer XBMC Addons if it clashes with TSmedia so badly that it renders E2 unusable?

 

May I recommend it is dropped and a warning added to TSmedia, if somebody wants to do it...

 

I have to redo my box from scratch - all black now, even after removing XBMC Addons...

 

Booo-hoooo, mummyyyyyyy.... :D

 

P.S> Menu > Plugins > Remove plugins > XBMC and whatever else one doesn't need and Restart... OK, I have the picture back... :)

-the second and the most probably the image missed some important dependent file and so installation of new version failed but i have to admit that this is bug in TSmedia and should inform the user about the failure of installation and do not ask the user to restart enigma

The typical way to watch movie by TSmedia to download percentage of the movie(10% percent as example) and download srt file and run the downloaded part by image mediaplayer or by TSMplayer from local media

subtilte player problem fixed but i am going to search for other subtitle downloader and include them with tsmedia

So, how do you explain that one way one can update it and another one can't...???

i do not have explanation both apply same command

 

opkg install -force-overwrite tsmedia-package  

 

but in the library you can select opkg update then force install but through installer update no opkg update option

You haven't responded regarding offering XBMCaddons, when they cause serious trouble for E2...

 

May I recommend removing it and placing a warning against doing it, before one attempts to install XBMCaddons...

i do not prefer that,similar method used by gutemine against some my plugins like tspanel,flashbackup,ferrari addons manager

try to install TSpanel after installing dflash or barry allen the box will refuse due to conflict between dflash and TSpanel,this is unmoral way even when you hate other plugins

i prefer to talk with pcd to solve the conflict

However, in the meantime take it off the offering there, as it is counter-productive, m8... ;) :)
