You need to change the image, for a newer one, with Pyhton 2.7.

It is not advisable to have both Python 2.6 and 2.7 in the same image. It is possible (I saw it done) but...

Try this, for instance, for an original DMM:

I am sorry: in speed (I am on holidays but I had to go out...) I read 800, not 8000....

But if the image Ludo is using has no Python 2.7 - it seems to me he needs to change the image for one with Python 2.7....

I do not know which clone and I do not have that STB, so I don't know which Python is in various images for it but try different ones and see... Best of luck! :)

Btw, I don't even know if there is an OE 2/OpenPLi 3/4 version image for such a clone...

Try IPTV Player, if IPTV is what you need - and pray it works with Python 2.6...

Hi All

I was wondering if some kind person could have a look at the attached Crash Log & tell me what is wrong.

I've just purchased a Xtrend ET8000 to use in the bedroom, Installed Openpli 4.0 (Latest Release) installed Tsmedia Ver 10.5, which works great until I decide download a movie or series.  The receiver crashes (Green Screen) every time.  I've checked all my settings & hard disk, everything seems fine.

I also have a VU Duo2 with Openpli 4.0, Tsmedia ver 10.5 works flawlessly on this receiver.

Regards

This is enigma2 function and seem missed in your enigma2 file(maybe removed in your image)

however i fixed the file affected and send the update because i do not need this function more

open TSmedia, close it and restart enigma to apply the fix

if download crash persists feedback again

thanks for feedback

I seem to recall eTPM has been removed from the image a few weeks ago by MiLo. It is an old remainder of DMM images, and it isn't used anywhere in an OpenPLi image.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

i imported eTPM in my files by mistake and i do need this function

i remembered it is used to discover  clones and used by some plugins (e.g mytube) to prevent running on clones and non dmm models

Hi mfaraj57

I think that it is fixed.  Its not crashing anymore, although the first link I tried downloading from (promptfiles) stopped after a few seconds the second one I tried (realvid) seems to be working.  As I have to go out now, I will check later.

Will any future Tsmedia affect this receiver ?

Thank you so much for taking the time to address this problem.  Keep up the Great work, its much appreciated.  If I can help in anyway in the future, testing on the Xtrend ET8000 or my Vu Duo 2, don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards

Hi mfaraj57

Tsmedia is working great without any problems, thank you for the fix.

I do have another problem that you may be able to help me with.  I use your Livefootball plugin which I use quite often.  I noticed a few weeks ago on my Vu+Duo2 that after updating from 4.7 to 5.8 all seemed fine with the calendar (2014-2015, 2015-2016 etc.) but after the receiver was restarted the calendar was wrong (1970-1971, 1971-1972 etc).  Approximately 2 weeks ago this plugin started to work Ok & the calendar is showing the correct season (2015-2016) on my Vu+Duo2.

If I install this plugin on the Xtrend ET8000 the calendar problem is there when it has been updated to version 5.8 & the receiver restarted.  I've had to uninstall this plugin off this receiver.

Someone on this forum advised me to alter the date in the settings files in etc/enigma2.  I did this, but the problem came back after rebooting the receiver.   Is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue, as I do like this plugin.

Regards

After startup the time is taken from the current transponder
So take a proper startup channel with the correct time

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

Hi hemertje

Both my Vu+Duo2 & Xtrend Et8000 startup on BBC 1 (UK) that carry the current time (GMT) & date.  I will try setting a different channel that carries this information to see if this helps.

BBC1 is a good choice as a startup transponder, so thats not it.
