Sorry to bther you im new here. I had my maxdigital xp1000 on the vix image but it kept having fatal error green scree. I now have instaled the openpli image but not sure about how i install this plugin and whee exactly it need to be.
I dddownload a plugin called icefilms and 1 channel aswell as bbciplayer plugin but they all resulted in th2 spinning cogs on left hand side of screen and then thefatal error green screen.
Can anyone help please.

place it to flash/hdd root and install it with Software management -> Install local extension

Thanks for that, ive done as described and it said someting like Done-Installed, upgraded or removed 0 packages (with 0 errors)

I went into plugins > software management > local extensions > HDD/enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand-oe2.0_beta1_all.ipk and then pressed ok which put a gren tick then green install button. Then i get this message Done-Installed, upgraded or removed 0 packages (with 0 errors)

There put user: root
thats all. Now you are in box.
then you can use:
init 4 (enter)
enigma2 (enter)
then you try install plugin and in putty's window you can see, what there happens.
on end of your work press Ctlr+C, then
init 3 (enter)
and: exit (enter)

do you using Linux or Win on PC ? For both exist little program "putty". Run it, put IP of your box, set Telnet and connect it to box.
There put user: root
thats all. Now you are in box.
then you can use:
init 4 (enter)

go to putty, login into box and run it in line.
xp1000 login: root
root@xp1000:~# opkg update
Collected errors:
