I think the same goes for TranscodingSetup plugin on VU+ Solo2.

On other images it seems to work out of the box, while on my favourite OpenPLi it is nowhere to be found in the menu or in the feed. I hope you guys manage to get it working on OpenPLi as it is the best image of all I have tried.

these are ipk files i created myself, one is the latest .py files direct from the OnDemand git, latest files at time of posting, the one marked extras, is an ipk i created, again containing .py files, these files are a part of ViX that the plugin calls upon, but the files are not available in most other images, while trawling for the .py files, instead of the .pyo in the vix image, the python site stated that one of them was 'written out' in python 2.3

but, using these files, and the last ones i posted, OnDemand will install, and work perfectly, on OpenPLi 3.0

:)

hello

dd

iv been able to get the standard ipk file to work but cant get the on extra's to work im using 4D 3.0

the origanl one will work but can only view itvplayer, rteplayer,3player, how couls i get bbciplayer and 40dplayer to work?

thanks in advance for any help :)

Could you please summarise and place all files in one post?

Apologies for the late response....I have attached all you need for successful installation of the ondemand plugin....

You install all the dependencies individually (reboot GUI after each installation)...

Then install Ondemand extra ipk and ftp ian's ondemand rar file to extension.....

it should work ok.....

Has anyone tried this on ET9x00?

Successfully?

OK, too late to edit my post, so this what I get when I try to watch today's America's Got Talent from ITV:

Sorry, unable to find playable stream!

Quite funny. :)  Maybe it was me who did not have enough talent to make the plugin run.

In the end, however, this helped:

Please remember to delete the CommonModules.py once the receiver has rebooted and it has generated the new CommonModules.pyo file

But there is just one thing.

"Menu" button does not work in OnDemand screen (ET9000) and I cannot set any parameters of OnDemand plugin.

Is there any other way to remove this plugin from the main menu and leave it just in the plugin list?

Any file to edit manually?

BTW, "Info" button works correctly in the plugin screen. It is only the Menu button that seems to be so problematic.

It seems that I can only watch several minutes and then the shows stops.

Do you experience the same?

I am struggling like mad to get OnDemand to work on my Solo2 I have installed Openpli 3.0 I have installed

python-beautifulsoup_4.1.3-r0_mips32el.ipk

python-compression_2.7.2-r8.17_mips32el.ipk

python-dnspython_1.10.0-r0_mips32el.ipk

python-lxml_2.2.8-r1_mips32el.ipk

python-numbers_2.7.2-r7.17_mips32el.ipk

python-simplejson_2.2.1-r0_mips32el.ipk

Then I went to plugins/download plugins/extensions and downloaded ondemand

I get Some plugins are not available: Extensions/OnDemand (No module named lxml)

Will this work outside UK as I live in Spain.

Any help would be appreciated

Try some posts on an earlier page or two, as they contain all that is needed.

My post has the exact instructions how to do it.

Simple!

<span style='font-family: comic sans ms,cursive'>"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-incurred immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one's own understanding without the guidance of another. Thank you for for the information in this thred, I am running Open PLI 3.0 and when I tried to play BBC Iplayers streams I just got a black screen.

I tried installing all dependencies and required plugins but just couldn't get it to wrok. The solution is not immediately obviousm but you need to copy the files found in post #143 - the py and pyo files into the following location:

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OnDemand

Overwite the existing filesm or empty the dir then upload - this worked for me.

Good luckm don't give up!

Bob.

Well I have had no luck. I have reflashed the box with Openpli 3.0 and installed all dependencies one at a time and restarted GUI after each one. Installed Ians ondemand and from a suggestion earlier I reinstalled python-lxml_2.2.8-r1_mips32el.ipk and rebooted 9 times.

Still I get Some plugins are not available: Extensions/OnDemand (No module named lxml)

What am I doing wrong?

if someone went onto the vix forum, and started telling their members to abandon the image and use OpenPLi instead, all hell would break loose.

following the instructions in this thread, the latest ondemand, including the update for radio, works perfectly with openpli
