if someone went onto the vix forum, and started telling their members to abandon the image and use OpenPLi instead, all hell would break loose.

following the instructions in this thread, the latest ondemand, including the update for radio, works perfectly with openpli

@digidude @phoenix-vix

Where do i get the new version of the OnDemand with the radio? Thanx

This is considered 3rd party plugin and as far as I understand is only provided as-is.

And as for 4od, I believe it does not work on any image.

It has been mentioned several times before: the OnDemand plugin can be build from the sources (see https://github.com/o...master/OnDemand), which is understandably preferred by PLi above using a pre-compiled ipk.

the latest ondemand files. the dependancies in post 54 (or could be post 57) are also needed

4OD back working

the files in the ondemand.zip are from the OE-A git

unpack the zip and put the whole folder into usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/

install the dependancies from post 54 (or 57) and install the attached 'extras' ipk

restart enigma

and bobs your aunty

:)

thanks to all involved

as the above 2 posts pointed out, as pointed out in my post, its fixed, and its from the OE-A git

theres also a fix for the menu button to work, edited into the existing code, but, as that was not posted by myself, the oe-a spokes monkey will say nothing about editing the code, but its now 100% working on openPLi as long as the extras ipk, the dependancies, and the edited ui.py files are used

with thanks to everyone who worked on the code to get it working

EDIT: MrKappa, this was posted while you was replying, this doesnt reply to your post, sorry

Sadly...

First using my RCU - nothing showed up in Plugins...

Then, Telnet command, using PuTTy:

OnDemand installation in /tmp (actually in /var/volatile/tmp) goes this command:

opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /var/volatile/tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand-4od-fix_openpli_mips32el.ipk

Here is the log from PuTTy:

No go....

Or as Delfi put it:

Well, that is a badly written plugin as it should not install at all. VX-3 has libxml2 - 2.7.8-r7.

Well, I've read all through this thread several times and when I read post 236 I thought wow at last we have a single installation ipk file.

So I copied it onto my newly formatted Kingston USB stick and plugged into my gigablue quad running the latest openrsi which is fully based on openpli. I ran the ipk through installation manager and got the message "Done - Installed, Upgraded or Removed 0 packages (with 0 errors)

I've checked with FileZilla and there are no OnDemand folder/files anywhere to be found.

Any advice would be appreciated please.
