Besitze ein Xtrend 4000, aktuelle OpenPli Images drauf,über Optische Toslink an AV Yamaha RX-V459 angeschlossen .Mein Problem ist folgendes: auf jeden Sender dass in AC3 sendet und AC3/DTS aus ist, gibt sehr kurze Sound Unterbrechungen auf die Anlage ,leider der Genus in AC3 geht nicht.In PCM Modus kein Problem.(AC3/DTS an).2 OptischeToslink ausprobiert.
auf Thor immer die selbe Probleme. Was ich bemerkt habe ,auch über Hdmi an Fernseher leidet der Ton wenn AC3/DTS heruntermischen auf aus ist. Hdmi kabel ist ein vollwertiges 1.4a ,angeschlossen an ein Samsung D8090. Kann sein dass an OpenPLI liegt? Habe neue Scan auf Astra und Thor,kabel ohne Diseqc angeschlossen

Glaube dass ein Problem mit dem neue Enigma Kernel liegt. Die Image : ET4x00 OpenPli 3.0 20121010 mit dem alten Kernel Funktioniert AC3 ohne Probleme.

Genau dsa problem hab ich auch, gleicher receiver, ET4x00, auch mit Toslink und bei mir geht auch AC3/DTS nicht richtig. Auch mit dem aktuellen Build!

i have the exact same receiver and setup and exerience the exact same issue!

Ac3 or DTS? These are 2 completely different things.

AC3, have not tested DTS as i could not find a channel with DTS Sound. The receiver gets the dolby digital signal and it works but it has some glitches (like a gramophone record/disk with dust on it) every 5-10 seconds.

Tuner Bit Error Rate BER: 0

 

Receiver and toslink cable work fine when i use them with my Xbox/Pc for AC3 Dolby digital)

do you use downmix? Or passthrough?

With passthrough i have this issue. With downmix it is ok and i dont have any sound issues But obviously no dolby digital

Ok, that is weird, as the box does not alter the bitstream in that case, it's just output as-is.

Does the same thing happen on both hdmi and s/pdif?

I have to think about a way to test it as my TV (Panasonic TX-P42S10E) does not support pass through and my receiver has no hdmi ports. 

Bei mir macht an Samsung 46D8090 über HDMI auch dieser Probleme in AC3( passthrough).Downmix kein problem aber halt nur Mpeg.....

With me on Samsung 46D8090 via HDMI makes these problems even in AC3 (pass-through). Downmix no problem

I flashed back to stock fw on my ET4000 and AC3 Dolby Digital works just fine, even Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 works just perfect (total mess with openpli, 9 out of ten seconds were screwed)

 

So it must be somehow connected to OpenPli

Oh, no forget it, it just worked for 5 Minutens or so, now it doenst work with stock firmware either. Contacted my retailer to send  me a new receiver. Seems to be an Hardware Problem.

Also glaube nicht dass ein Hardware Problem ist,versuch bitte mit ET4x00 OpenPli 3.0 20121010 Firmware,auf digital eliteboard findest du die .Bei mir Funktioniert ohne Probleme  AC3 mit diese Firmware.

Die hab ich jetzt drauf, damit läuft es für ungefähr 10-15 Minuten bis es wieder ins alte ruckeln zurück fällt.

this is not a pli problem

latest openpli3.0 works perfectly with ac3

i have a denon av receiver and i have no problems what so ever

After a restart AC3 dolby digital works stable since over an hour with ET4x00 OpenPli 3.0 20121010 with old Kernel. 3.4.3. Will stay with this for a while.

I got my new ET4000 today and flashed the newest OpenPli. Same Problem as with the old unit. So i can confrm the AC3 over SPDIF doesnt work with OpenPli's newer than OpenPli 3.0 20121010 with old Kernel. 3.4.3

Any news on this topic? I just trippel checked it with 2 receivers. When i flash OpenPli 3.0 20121010 with Kernel. 3.4.3 AC3 Dolby Digital over S/PDIF works like a charm. When i flash a recent OpenPli image AC3 Dolby Digital over S/PDIF is broken. Definetly a Software issue as both of my ET4000 have the exact same bevavior.

 

I used vanilla OpenPli without any addons which dont come out of the box.

Hallo! Ich habe heute die neue update installiert mit dem  Kernel 3.8.7 und scheint dass Problem mit AC3 verschwunden zu sein,mehr als halbe stunde auf ServusTv in AC3+ , keine Unterbrechungen mehr.Wenn so bleibt bin ich sehr happy!!!!
