Hi,

I have just created a script to convert userbouquet files into .M3U file so we can zap directly from within VLC playlist.

Would be nice to have this .m3u file generation directly from OpenWebif instead of creating .m3u individually for each channel that we want to stream.
My idea is to have it include close to each bouquet name, so in one click we can generate a full playlist.

I have attached the script so people interested can have a look at it.

Regards,

Pr2

Very nice idea, but have a problem.

With this playlist can only stream channels of the current transponder.
It would be good if there was a way to switch all channels.

Sorry for my english - Google ;)

Go to the webif and in the left Stream section thick the box:

Zap before stream.

Now when i select a channel for stream from the web interface, the channel is changed, but not if i use a generated playlist.

Any other ideas?

My box is et4000

Strangely, found that i can stream all channels by generated playlist only if the receiver is in standby mode.

Otherwise - from current transponder only.

Makes sense, as you have a single tuner.
Does the 'recordings have priority' setting have an effect on this? (I think it might, as a stream is similar to a recording)

#
# Script: ./3genm3u-all.sh "full_path_to_userbouquet_folder" "SERVER_IP" "SERVER_PORT"
#

"full_path_to_userbouquet_folder" is the full path to access the userbouquet files that you want to convert
"SERVER_IP" is either the serveur IP address on your LAN or the Serveur Name.
"SERVER_PORT" is an optional parameter by default it is 8001 (default OpenWebif streaming port)

Will process all the userbouquet file in the folder specified by: "full_path_to_userbouquet_folder"
This script will call: ./1lamedb.sh and ./2genm3u.sh

Transfert all the playlist-*.m3u files on the client and open the file of your choice with VLC.

TIP: in the VLC playlist enable Artist view, this will show you the favourite name.

Remark: file userbouquet.LastScanned.tv is ignored.

Can this also be used for transcoding on VU+?

There, 8002 port is used. How to choose between transcoding and regular streaming?

Besides, I found VLC 1.0.2 rather difficult to work for transcoded channels. It works well for regular streaming (8001) but not for transcoding (8002). Don't know why.

For the same task, here's a PHP script you can run on your home NAS or other PC, near your box:

http://openpli.org/f...-converter-php/

It generates a playlist for VLC too.

Hi,

I just discovered that the feature is now included in OpenWebif by default, so you can generate the .m3u directly from the Webif no more need for my script.

On the top bar of a favorite click on the left TV this will allow you to download the .m3u file.

Thanks to the one who implement it!

Hello guys,

Would it be possible to extend this new feature with port 8002 for boxes that can use transcoding? Solo2, Duo2.

Just like there are 2 TV icons in the channel lists, there could also be 2 TV icons in the bouquet list.

Whoever implemented the first TV icon, can you please consider adding the second TV icon for these 2 box types?

Thanks.

Hi,

You no longer need to run my script to achieve this, simply connect to the Webif of the STB and click on the TV icon.

And this script was not written for bash if I remember well so don't start it with bash.

That works one channel only. It would be great to generate .m3u for the whole bouquet.

If you use modern webif then you no longer have this option easily accessible, you need to go into the bouquet editor.

Turn the OpenWebif into classic mode and you will be able to easily download the full bouquet in the m3u format.

I have created a ticket in the GitHub of OpenWebif tohave the same in "modern UI" I need to find it back.
