Yes, it is a solid and reliable source. If you click the link you see.
XBMC system that is always open-sourced.
I cannot find on this page anything about any release date ??
XBMC is opensource I know however I see no support in xbmc for prismcube.
Is there a special git for prismcube?

XBMC developers seem a little bit mad and disappointed about that:

I don't read they are little bit mad and disappointed. (Please qoute and give source were they say this)
For 50 dollar donation you will become member+
Maybe prismcube/marusys thinks they become offical member of XBMC by donating 50 dollar

If you are not satisfied with below quotation, then there is nothing to argue about...

no they are not working with us, they're just using our code and any statement about being an "official member of xbmc" is false. and i'm not seeing any source link on their website or sponsor link on ours, so i might be sending them a nice email pretty soon

Such a shame this, if true...
The project was entitled XBMC4STB, a while back, announced by Marusys with some pomp and yah-boo to it...
I noted immediately that Marusys seem to be driving the whole thing down DMM alley, which is rather sad, given their own, very recent history with DMM!!!
That being said, DMM got a bloody nose in court and I certainly hope Marusys see the light of day soon, especially given the fact XBMC is already on Droid, nowadays...
The specs seem improved from the last time I saw the box in action. Marusys seem to have hit the wall with that and changed the HW, it seems to me, for the better!!! But still... Many questions seem still to be there....

Well, if you ignore the annoying, corporative nonsense filled and amateurish presentation (terrible sound and awful text like "and etc." pearl), just change the ending to the link and see a bit more......

Can anybody see 1080p? The video shows usage of 1080i, I think... I mean, most probably it is there but just out of interest...
Which processor is in there, actually - and how fast/powerful? PNX8496 - motherboard? But processor?

HW level decoding of multimedia or SW? Media type: too few?
No EXT2/3/4 and NTFS is read only...
No 3.5 inch HDD support...
Which Emus?

Some news:
Dear members.
we had today nice news.
The price of PrismCube should be lower than solo2
and maybe PrismCube will be availale on this june.
Source: http://www.vuplus-co...nd-price.12333/
I'm worried about these two points as well
HDD File System FAT32,NTFS(read only)
Media Type MKV, AVI, MP3, MP4
but in the post there is a statement, that there is no reason to be worried. we will see, but good thing is, that something is happening as I'm interested in the Prismcube.
The above comment that xbmc and Marusys don't work together seems to be true. A xbmc-guy was "complaining" about the statement on the prismcube-website, which stated Marusys is an official xbmc member. Since that wasn't the case, he wanted to contact marusys about it. some time later the statement was removed from the website.
I'm wondering how this will be... How much will the prismcube-project have to do with xbmc-community, if there will be any alternative images, who will be doing support etc.

Please remember that http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/ is a hobby forum, not an 'official' board.
