They have initially established communications and a new project (XBMC4STB) and so on...
But!
We shall see these developments and we shall all scrutinise them carefully...
We do not want DMM v.2 story - Marusys against the community!

Really, Baccio? Well, then... we may have a contender....
...provided that the drivers are cool and the kernel hip...
...the GUI as advertised, silky smooth and with all the bells and whistles...
...the tools are "out there", for our plugin and tools writers...
...the skies blue and Europe still exists...
...by the time it makes a grand appearance on the market...

Well, they say it is out in the Netherlands, of course....
But the price is not that friendly at € 429,00...
Don't think I should put the link...

OK, I don't profit but the seller certainly does, so I don't get you... You guys do not have a sponsor any more?
In the past this is what you used to warn people about, so...
Just making sure...

If XBMC code is not beeing released this comes to prove again sh4 TDT boxes are the only with opensource mentality.
Nothing against DMM or Vuplus/Marusys but their bosses suck balls.
Coders do not get offended by this. It is plain true.
P.S. Who dont know me I am from North America and using dreambox since many years.
I have been in contact with both companies for couple of times. For them is business as usual.
They can both go bankrupt ..I could not care less.

E2BMC seems to be an interesting project too. Maybe even more interesting than Prismcube. Prices are supposed to be lower than 200 € apparently, available from october this year. Is basically quite similar (an XBMC system), but for the TV/PVR part E2 is being used mainly with all / most of its functionality, which Prismcube would probably miss at least at the beginning.

I read that E2BMC will be closed source? :/
Also I hope that they will also release something better, because for 200EUR you cannot expect much.

Yes, I agree... Something in the range of Solo² would be ok, but lower than 200 € might be problematical.
Regarding "closed source": I've read that too, but as far as I know it was just a guess, because there was no info about any git repositories etc. back then. Thic could change, now that more info begin to appear, but we will have to wait and see, I fear...
