As much as I am not a fan of VU+, I must say the SoC in vuplus duo2 is impressingly fast. This is the only receiver available that has this new generation of broadcom SoC's, which are both very fast and very economic on power usage. The current ET's are no match. So I hope ET will come with a receiver with a same generation SoC as soon as possible.

The greek importer of VU+, Majar, was mentioning in a trade show this weekend that most probably VU+ Duo2 will be "renamed" to VU+ Ultimo2 and they are expecting a release at 3rd quarter of 2013.

Indeed. But drivers might be an issue, some informed colleagues tell me. But then again, Marusys also has issues with those, apparently...
Most seriously informed people seem not to be "per tu" with Vu+/Marusys and the way they write... for various reasons...
Anyone really well informed cares to enlighten us, as to the nitty-gritty, the dirty details, please?

ik sta op het punt een duo2 te bestellen maar ik kan kiezen tussen enkelvoudige en dubbele tuners.
een dubbele tuner zijn dit twee volwaardige tuners of zitten hier beperkingen op?
ik kan er namelijk twee dubbele tuners in zetten.

Dat zullen we pas weten als iemand het uitgeprobeerd heeft 
Maar er is een vergelijkbare constructie voor de Ultimo en ook DMM verkoopt volgens mij dubbele tuners en volgens mij werkt dat gewoon. Als de drivers het ondersteunen en gewoon twee tuners per "tuner" aangeven, dan zou het gewoon moeten werken.

De Dual-tuners zijn identiek aan degene die voor de Ultimo & UNO bestemd zijn (en ze zijn dan ook onderling uitwisselbaar).
Dat betekent dat er geen beperkingen zijn (anders dan het ontbreken van externe doorlus functionaliteiten; de twee tuners van één board kunnen wel intern doorlussen).

Eerlijk is eerlijk, inderdaad, bij VU+ zijn ze altijd redelijk/goed bij met hardware. Ik heb bij dmm nog geen ontvangers gezien (niet eens aangekondigd) met de next-gen broadcom SoC's.
