Hi guys,

After three days of struggling with wifi connection, I'm giving up.

Can someone in idiot language explain how to establish wifi connection on DB 800 hd with wifi USB adapter.

Just flashed with last openPli image (2.1), everything works fine, also with wired LAN, but not wifi.

It's one WLAN USB adapter with Ralink chipset.

Thanks in advance.

Genuine DM or clone?

800 or 800se?

What Ralink chipset?

It's genuine one. I'm not 100% sure, but I flashed with image from this site and i used bootloader from this site, while booting I see dream multimedia on display (not sim 2, logo, nor ssl 84a, b, or whatever), so i think that's original one. And everything works fine, but to connect it with router using wifi was disaster. Searched on net, different forums but didn't succeed. It's 800 hd, not "se". In set up menu I can't see wireless option. I'm using "WLAN Wireless USB Adapter" made by IXUSS with RALINK chipset.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

You are still not telling us what RALINK chipset. There are numerous RALINK chipsets. If it is RT73, it should work. If it is different, there may be problems.

Upsss, sorry,

According to user's manual I have to look for RT2070 or RT307X drivers.

Then this stick may not be supported at all. Don't forget the dm800 has an old kernel with little (and old) usb stick support.
