Hello Willy,

I've see these 3 channels have no more EPG :

France 3 (TNT)        1:0:1:112:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0::Fr:

MCS Extreme 1:0:1:21A9:448:1:C00000:0:0:0:

France Ô (TNT)       1:0:1:105:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0::Fr:

I think TV5 Monde is not good and some channels have several entries but I shall check later.

Thank you Willy :)

MCS Extreme has epg on my box.

The TNT channels I cannot check but:

France 3 : has epg in the xmltv file and the ref is included in the channels file.

France Ô (TNT) : The reference was missing. Added

Ok, I'm going to look if there is another channel for MCS Extreme because I have only the 2 standard lines. For France 3 TNT, I've nothing. I'm going to ask other french users.

What is an "import log pls"? How can I get it?

You should have a crossepg folder in your hard disk by default, and you will find here a crossepg.log , which contains some debug information.

In the XMLTV importer.

Perform an import.

After the import (with the window open) press the info button (or epg button depending on the receiver you have).

Now you can see the log.

You can save it. It will be then in the /tmp/ folder

Hello pcrwr,

As I say on the French forum, some channels have several frequencies and it's possible to find the EPG on another frequency as for D17, Planete+, Infosport+... but effectively, I don't give the frequencies for Sport 365 (I don't know it  ) and Girondins tv.

Willy, is the pcrwr's log good for you or do you wait for other?

I would like to see the XMLTV importer (EPGimport) log, which gives me I bit more info if errors are present.

As for Crossepg. Pls. delete als the Crossepg database when clearing epg, not only the epg.dat. This is especially needed when 2 channels are mixed up, which has happened with all these canalsat changes.

    SID - d17 (tnt)
    SID - france 3 (tnt)
    SID - nat geo wild

Were missing. Added.

Cannot check
    SID 1:0:1:105:1:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0 - france O (tnt) false

SID 1:0:1:204:2:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0 - itélé (tnt - don't know if there should be an EPG)

But epg is available in the XMLTV file. and the ref exists in the channels file.

    SID 1:0:1:1908:3FA:1:C00000:0:0:0 - girondins tv
    SID 1:0:1:1FAC:434:1:C00000:0:0:0 - national geo
    SID 1:0:1:1FAF:434:1:C00000:0:0:0 - ushuaia tv
    SID 1:0:1:1FB0:434:1:C00000:0:0:0 - voyage
    SID 1:0:1:200D:430:1:C00000:0:0:0 - cine+ premier
SID 1:0:1:200F:430:1:C00000:0:0:0 - lci (don't know if there should be an EPG)
    SID 1:0:1:2012:430:1:C00000:0:0:0 - planete+
    SID 1:0:1:2073:432:1:C00000:0:0:0 - infosport+
    SID 1:0:1:2077:432:1:C00000:0:0:0 - planete+ no limit
    SID 1:0:1:21A9:448:1:C00000:0:0:0 - mcs extreme
    SID 1:0:1:23CF:44A:1:C00000:0:0:0 - sport 365

Checked, and all these have epg on my box.

I would advise when experiencing these problems. Delete all epg (and clear also the Crossepg database) restart your box and reimport again.

Willy.

PS: I am starting to get a bit tired from checking channels which are OK. Before reporting there is a channel missing (needed because I cannot see everything) please erase all epg, restart your box and reimport.

Thanks.

Be also beware of the fact I am allergic to Crossepg It seems to work, but I have seen strange results before.

And getting rid of wrong epg (sorry about that) is even more difficult in Crossepg. Because Crossepg keeps its own database with all info to provide the epg to the box. When having wrong epg it is not only in your box, but also in the epg.dat and in the Crossepg database.

1. Erasing the data in memory is easy. Just a restart will do. But remember the data will be read in memory again as long as epg.dat exists. Althugh a restart will erase all epg in memory, it will be filled again as long as epg.dat exists.

2. Erasing the data in epg.dat is a bit more tricky, because this file is rewritten each time enigma shuts down (with the data in memory), and reread when enigma starts. So yo have to delete this after enigma is stopped. This can be done with the command in telnet: init 4

Now you can erase epg.dat.

You then restart enigma with the command: init 3

3. The crossepg database can just be erased. I will be recreated (empty) when Crossepg is started again.

Willy

Hello Willy,

I use the plugin (Ppanel perhaps, I'm not sure of the name, I haven't the demo with me) to erase EPG databases and it says the plugin erases all the databases (CrossEPG also) and it restarts Enigma. I think it's good and sufficient, isn't Willy?

I don't use any more CrossEPG, it does strange things.

Sometimes I'm not sure if there is an EPG for a channel and I check it on the TV magazine or if the channel exists both on TNT and Satellite. But I'm not very interested for some channels as i>tele ;) .

Thank you Willy :) .

The Ppanel utilty (or the Systemtools utility) is sufficient.

Hello Willy,

I've made an EPG log Thursday and it was very long and there was problems with a lot of channels. I did again today and it was very short, I don't know why and the 2 times, I erased the EPG data base.

I thought there was a tool to import files (the EPG log files) on the forum but I don't find it. Can you say how to do?

I haven't any EPG any more for France 3 (TNT), but I have it for France 3 Csat. I don't know why and Enigma does not note any problem in the log file. Is it a solution to rescan the TNT?

pcrwr have stopped CrossEpg, now he uses EPGImport and it's good, he have the EPG.

Thank you Willy ;) .

I do not know what caused the long log. But if the next day it is short, it was probably a temp problem.

In order to attach a file you to press the Button More reply Options - just next to the Post Button.

And there you will find the Attach files dialog.

It is probably a good idea to rescan the TNT channels.

No epg is present can be caused by several reasons, to name the major ones:

1. no data. This is not the case because all other France 3 have epg and the refs are the same

2. a typo in the service refs or epg refs.

1:0:1:11a:1:20fa:eeee0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:112:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:111:1:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:143:1:20fa:eeee0000:0:0:0:

epg refs I can check, but for service refs see below.

3. A wrong service ref. For this I depend on the users because I cannot check this myself

Willy

Ok. I'll do a rescan later. I've joined the old one and the new one EPGImport.

A little question, I used the filebrowser plugin to copy the file on an USB key but I get it at the first place with the Menu key, before the timer, which is not convenient. Do you know if there is another possibility? If I have it only with the plugin list, it would be better ;) .

I cannot find anything the log file which explains the France3 - TNT problem.

Willy.

PS: I would point out a feature build in.

EPGImport] Downloading: http://www.tm800hd.co.uk/rytec/rytecxmltvcsat.gz to local path: /tmp/epgimport.gz
[EPGImport] WakeUpTime now set to 1366256700 (now=1366170300)

[EPGImport] Attempting alternative URL
[EPGImport] Downloading: http://enigma2.world-of-satellite.com/epg_data/rytecxmltvcsat.gz to local path: /tmp/epgimport.gz

As the download on website goes bad, the program automatically takes another website, as nicely demonstrated above.
