You need change (replace) only this file. Don't change the your skin_user.xml.

You must not edit "skin_display96.xml". You can add this part into "/etc/enigma2/skin_user.xml" and then you must not change it always, when skin_display96.xml will be changed by PLi.

Note - you can create own user skin file for each skin too. F.eg. for PLi-HD skin this file will be "skin_user_PLi-HD.xml".

On start E2 testing, if is presented skin_user_SKIN_NAME.xml, if not found, then E2 is looking for skin_user.xml.

example for user_skin.xml

<skin>
  <screen name="InfoBarSummary" position="0,0" size="96,64">
    <widget position="0,0" render="Picon" size="100,60" source="session.CurrentService" zPosition="0">
	<convert type="ServiceName">Reference</convert>
    </widget>
    <widget source="session.RecordState" render="FixedLabel" text="Rec" position="5,41" size="24,12" font="FdLcD;12" zPosition="1" noWrap="1" backgroundColor="black" foregroundColor="fullred" halign="center" valign="center">
	<convert type="ConditionalShowHide"></convert>
    </widget>
    <widget source="session.Event_Now" render="Progress" position="0,62" size="96,2" borderWidth="0" transparent="1" pixmap="skin_default/progress_small.png" backgroundColor="#800000" zPosition="1">
	<convert type="EventTime">Progress</convert>
    </widget>
  </screen>
</skin>

yes, /etc/enigma2/.

I don't see this skin_user.xml ("/etc/enigma2/skin_user.xml").

See:

Attached File  etc.png   410.24KB   95 downloads

Attached File  etc2.png   415.59KB   115 downloads

Now, my usr/share/enigma2:

Attached File  share.png   374.32KB   87 downloads

I'll try to create my own "skin_user_SKIN_NAME.xml" (skin hd glass 16), but this skin is complex and don't work when I add the lines (usr/share/enigma2/hd_glass16/skin.xml)

skin_user.xml you must create. It is not there standardly.

note: for skin hd_glas16 it should be skin_user_hd_glass16.xml , imho.

note2:

skin_user.xml ... changes will be used for all skins

skin_user_hd_glass16.xml  ... changes will be  used for hd_glass16 skin only

I'll try to find the correct "InfoBarSummary", because hd glass 16 I see (screen name="InfoBarSummary -13, -12, ..., -2). PLI HD is easy.

I'll create my own skin_user.xml or skin_user_hd_glass16.xml.

Thank you.

I created the skin_user.xml in /etc/enigma2, but unfortunately the picons are still not showing up on my OLED.

I'm using MetrixHD with XPicons located in /meda/hdd/XPicons/picon.

Already tried to create a new folder with smaller icons and add the path in the skin_user,xml, but it's still not working for me.(<widget position="0,0" render="Picon" size="100,60" source="session.CurrentService" zPosition="0" path="/media/hdd/piconoled">)

Help is much appreciated !

So create 2 picon directorys

1 /media/.../picon

2/media.../Xpicons/picon for the skin

Maybe it helps.

It's an SSD (256GB) in my Dreambox, so no worries about the never sleeping HDD.

I've got 2 picon directories (piconoled, XPicons) and one symlink to Xpicons (/media/hdd/picon to /media/hdd/XPicons/picon).

Furthermore I placed the skin_user.xml in etc/enigma2.

Is it working at all to show the really high resolution picons on the OLED of my DM800se?
