I also have no luck with the skin_user.xml to show the picons on the VFD/LCD on my Xtrend ET10000 with Openpli 4.x
With a modified "skin_user_SKIN_NAME.xml" in /etc/enigma2/ my lcd display is dark and shows no channel logo.
I also tried lcd4linux with no luck.
What I am doing wrong? Could someone please give me a hint to get this working?

DM800se OpenPli 6.0 OLED display picons, copy this to skin_user.xml file in etc/enigma2 :
