When I am watching M6 Suisse HD everithing is fine (Eutesat 9A at 9East). It means that video + audio + subtitle are syncronised. But if I make a recording, during the playback the subtitle is app. 4-5 seconds earlier as video+sound.

What's wrong with my receiver or is it a question of settings?

I have the latest OpenPLi 3.0 image on my DM8000, updated every 3-4 days.

I checked earlier recordings, I detect this pb since 27/03/2013. An another recording on the evening of 26/03/2013 is OK.

Thanks for your help

This means timestamps are missing in the subtitle info. You need to adjust some subtitle delay options in the menu.

It happens in more channels. Live broadcast with txt888 subs are fine. However when you record, the recorded shows subs too early.
For me changing the subtitle settings never worked. I gave up.

Hi jort38 and pieterg,

Thanks for your answer.

Earlier I also tried to adjust subtitle settings but without any result. Finally I left original values.

I should have some questions and remarks to jort38:

- Do you have this subtitle pb with other Eutelsat services or on other satellites also?

- In live broadcast everything is fine (it can be TXT888 subtitle or images with the text as it is used with HD broadcasting). In case of TF1 Suisse HD the live broadcasting os OK.

- In case of recordings with TXT888 subtitle the subtitle is perfect - it is not earlier.

- I detected this pb only at TF1 Suisse HD and M6 Suisse HD.

The timing depends on how the provider does transmit......

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

Yes, if the provider would provide timestamps on the subtitles (i.o.w. information on at what time exactly in the programme a sub needs to be shown), the subs would always be in sync. If this information lacks, enigma displays the subs as they come by, and that's generally between 2-6 seconds early, depending on the channel. Blame the broadcaster...

Yes of course, if a broadcaster doesn't do it right, it won't go away "magically", until the broadcaster does the fix...
