I have on my DM500hd installed openpli 3.0 last upgrade 2013-04-16 23:46:19.
Can I do a software update to a newer nightly build version without anhy problems now? Is the problem solved? When I did an upgrade to my other dm500hd which had the same version the receiver stuck in booting. I used 18/04/2013 image.

I forgot to tell you when I choose to do a software update I get a message saying that "The status of the current beta image could not be checked because www.openpli.org cannot be reached. Do you want to update the receiver?"

Then say thank you to the persons who screwed up the secondstage loader update and get your Nullmodem cable to flash your box with DreamUP.
But I think it is now fixed (after 2 days ...) so you could restore a backup and try again.

Look - the upgrade screwed up the secondstage loader, instead of advicing the people to flash a secondstage loader nfi and keep all the content of their image the advice was to flash a new complete image. On the 8000 and 7020hd this might have made sense to get UBIFS (but a simple backup/restore with dFlash after the upgrade could have done the same job nicely as all the non-PLi Users did if they wanted to keep their image setup).
But on the 500hd and 800se the advice was simply wrong as there would have been less radical solutions.
I'm here a guest, and if I don't see my role to correct other peoples errors and give better advice on an image I hardly use.
For exmaple I'm still not sue if the patch for the broadcom nand drivers was apllied to the openPLi git which avoids double bad block handling by UBIFS. Which means you could screw up your Flash once more as soon as a new bad block occures = another not needed re-flash.
Therefore I'm a little bit resistive to give advice as I have lots of mess on my own and I'm therefore not willing to spend too much time on other people's mess
Only if my patience runs out I do some finger and problem pointing, and then I'm told to stop critics ...
