Hello,
This morning I update my dreambox 8000 directly from internet. (openpli)
After reboot, i get ERROR on display !
What Can I Do ?
No more possible to flash by the network.
With de dreambox 8000 i received a Recover USB.
I don't find any guide to help me to reflash the box with this usb key.
Must I use DreamUp software with serial cable ?

you have to make a flash image downloading from the site until you see the skull do not flash decoder!!!

Don't panic 
yes use dreamup with serial cable and just flash the bootloader, you can download it from the link given by gutemine at the bottom of the previous page.
It only takes a second to flash and after that the box will boot normally, no need to totally reflash.

The problem is that modern laptops do not have a serial port and you have to shop a USB to serial adapter and a nulmodem cable. I really hope that the normal online update will be made possible soon.

Not only laptops, my newish desktop has no real serial port either but that being the case you should already have bought one
You never know when you'll need it.

Is het om even welk merk of no-name usb-rs232 kabel je koopt?
Ik meen gelezen te hebben dat het ene merk wel werk in combinatie met een Dreambox en het ander merk niet.
Of is dit onzin en werkt elk merk/no-name usb-rs232 kabel en kan ik dus elke willekeurige kopen?

Hello,
Thanks for the help on this forum.
All is now ok.
I connect the DB8000 with DreamUp & serial null modem
upload secondstage #84.
The db8000 will now start without problems.
