Hi,

I have DM 800se and 500HD with usb mod. I want to switch from newnigma2 to openpli, but I'm wondering if OpenPLi supprot dvb-t tuner with IT9135 chipset?

I tried 913x with 048d:9006 ( Evolve Mars ) on my 800se and it NOT worked.

 

Must be installed: usb-dvb driver for 913x,  913x_fe and 913x firmware

 

EDIT: Not works. I think, it wants > 3.2

Most boxes, wrong memory => mistakes :-) Works under XP1000

may be, it all makes plugin:

opkg install enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-it913x

Thank you, but it doesn't recognise my 048d:9005. Maybe to this device is necessary to have new 3.3+ kernel?

It detects only high speed usb device. It's strange because on my vu+ solo2 everything works ok.

Do you trying it on Solo2 ? There I had not success with it.

Yes, I use it with my solo2 and it works Maybe because my is 048d:9005 and your's 048d:9006? Starnge.

there is diferences in firmware only, imho.

Something wrong with modules, they can't load firmware correctly.

Got succeed with modules from Dream_Elite IMG, just need to overwrite files from these packages:

 

kernel-module-dvb-usb_3.2-r14.46-bsp0_dm800se

kernel-module-dvb-usb-it913x_3.2-r14.46-bsp0_dm800se

kernel-module-it913x-fe_3.2-r14.46-bsp0_dm800se

kernel-module-rc-core_3.2-r14.46-bsp0_dm800se

So most probaly Dream_Elite backport changes from 3.3 kernel to 3.2 or they are using media_build.

@panic, can you find the (kernel) sources that Dream_Elite used to build the image or they are closed? (like their enigma...)

I'm not development, so i don't have any sources. 

it9135 v2 works in Dream_Elite image, and i found workaround, how to run it in OpenPLI, as i always has problems with firmware load.

i tried with openpli 4.0 and dreamelite image in my dm500hd but not working. then i replace the drivers in openpli image from dreamelite with no result. so i have 5 dvb-t sticks based on chip it9135 with diferent id's: 048d:9006,  048d:9005,  048d:9135 and noone of them is not working. so dear panic may you  send me lib/firmware/module real working drivers, or ipk installation files for dm500hd. thank you!

Here are compiled kernel modules with many backported patches. They work on my dm800se quite well.

If you succeed using them on dm800se i will release patch for inclusion also.

 

PS First you need to install enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-it913x and then those modules.

PS. honestly i need much more for my dm500hd. because my dm800se have trial tuner and need usb-dvb-stick only like extra tuner.

Hello,I have VU+ Solo with OpenPli4 with 3.1.1 kernel.

Is there any chance to force DVB-T USB Stick IT9135 to work.

Long time ago it works with BlackHole image - but I don't like this images.

Lsusb tells :

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 048d:9005

 

when i tried to install modules:

It913x first introduced on 3.2 kernel with many many issues partially solved on 3.3 (with backports also). Creating a patch for 3.1 from patched 3.2 is easier now, for those who care...

If you can compile patched drivers for August dvb t202 stick with siano chip for DM500HD that must be great. in this case i may put it inside of my dm500hd because of little size of this stick.
