Hi,

I just do a manual upgrade.

opkg update
init 4
opkg upgrade

And this the end of the opkg upgrade.

Configuring enigma2-plugin-extensions-mediaplayer.
Configuring enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-hdmicec.
Configuring enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-skinselector.
Configuring kernel-module-rt2800usb.
Configuring enigma2-plugin-extensions-graphmultiepg.
Configuring rtl8192cu.
Configuring enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-satfinder.
Configuring enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-videotune.
Configuring enigma2-plugin-extensions-audiosync.
FATAL: Module ipv6 not found.

I don't manually install ipv6 since I don't use it.

you can ignore that warning, it is caused by opkg, which runs modprobe before depmod.

Hi,

Some bugs after upgrading:

- When doing a restart Enigma 2 (from the menu) the image get stuck, sound come back but no image (fixed image), you need to zap to retrieve image.

- Before upgrading Guide button was assigned to Multi EPG Graphique, since the update it is no longer possible to assign Multi EPG Graphique to Guide button. In fact it is but is doesn't work. (how I did it: long press to Guide button and then select Multi EPG Graphique).  MQB is not installed!

Remark:

- Sundtek driver are still working after this upgrade without doing anything. It seems that Sundtek is doing it the right way with USB device driver. ;-)

Just curious.

Is it safe to update the image from the menu today? I have ET9000 and at the moment it is about 2 months old.

as always, make sure you are running the autobackup plugin, possibly with the 'autoinstall' feature checked.

Then, if for whatever reason the update fails, you can quickly reflash and be up and running again within just a few minutes.

@Pli Team: Can you please add this patch. If you look into drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00/Kconfig you can see that the RT2800USB_RT55XX entry is included in the "if RT2800PCI endif" block. So you can only add support for RT2800USB_RT55xx if you enable CONFIG_RT2800PCI in the kernel configuration. And this is by default disabled.

It's on your harddisk(/media/hdd) if you have one.

Another question.

During the online update, we can see a log on the TV screen.

Is it possible to get back to it and read it afterwards? In other words, is it saved anywhere?

Thanks.

I'm just not sure if it is complete. It only has about 36 KB and starts with:

Upgrading kernel-module-rt2x00usb on root from 3.6.0-r3.11 to 3.8.7-r5.2...
Downloading http://downloads.pli-images.org/feeds/openpli-3.0/et9x00/et9x00/kernel-module-rt2x00usb_3.8.7-r5.2_et9x00.ipk.
Installing kernel-3.8.7 (3.8.7-r5.2) to root...
Downloading http://downloads.pli-images.org/feeds/openpli-3.0/et9x00/et9x00/kernel-3.8.7_3.8.7-r5.2_et9x00.ipk.
Installing kernel-image-3.8.7 (3.8.7-r5.2) to root...

Could it be truncated because of size limitations? Or is it complete?

Also, is this something I should worry about or not?

Collected errors:
 * resolve_conffiles: Existing conffile /etc/tuxtxt/tuxtxt2.conf is different from the conffile in the new package. The new conffile will be placed at /etc/tuxtxt/tuxtxt2.conf-opkg.

I have no reason to doubt it is complete.
And the warning just says that you edited your /etc/tuxtxt/tuxtxt2.conf, and therefore opkg did choose not to overwrite it.
Whether or not this is something to worry about, is up to you.
And if you are worried, the warning shows you how you can solve this.

Hi,

Can you fix the bug to be able to set back Multi EPG graphique on the Guide button? This is an important woman acceptance factor for this "new version". :-)

Thanks,
