Hello guys, sorry my english is bad.

I use 2 satellites, 70W and 43W.

70W in sync subtitle is perfect.

43W there is a delay in the subtitles.

In the subtitle menu, there is a "Configure the subtitle delay When timing information is not available." If I set the delay to -0.5ms subtitles are perfect in 43W, but in the 70W they are no timing.

Is there any way to set the subtitle delay in a satellite without interfering with the other?

Thanks!

Brasil ?

As I see, after cca 1/2 year one provider repaired delay on subtitles (70W) and second provider (43W) is still wrong.  Half year ago was perfect -0.65sec for both...

When you set -0,5s, how many time is resync on 70W ?

Yes, Brazil.

If I set the -0.5 ms 43W is perfect.

The problem is that doing this will be a breakthrough in the subtitles of 0.5 ms at 70W.

In Brazil we use the 43W, 61W and 70W.

61W and 70W perfect, but the 43W is this delay of 0.5 ms.

I do not understand what you asked about resync.
In short, the only way to fix it would be if we had independent settings for satelite. Correct?

Crasy... because at the end effect the provider is not following the proper standards...

I am not sure whether a provider is required to add timestamps to subtitles according to the standards, BUT the fact is that if they're lacking, they can never be shown properly on playback.

I think, that this problem was discused here some time ago. Problem was, that provider used own receivers and this was some not standard "guard" or he solving bug in own receivers. This problem was on all this 3 positions and it seems, on 70W and 63W it was set to standard but on 43W is still using this delay.

He must try contact his provider.

I really think they send subtitles without any timing information at all. This works when watching live, but completely fails when random access to the media is available (i.e. from a recording).

Exactly, the provider of 43W (SKY) uses own receivers.

Thanks so much for the clarification.

I found another problem with subtitles.

Some subtitles are twisted and transparent.

See the video, right at the beginning as subtitles appear distorted.

The problem occurs in these times the video:
0:01
0:03
1:05
1:16
2:13
2:28
2:35
3:25

When I use PVR subtitles are perfect.

Is it possible to fix?

Nobody has any idea why this bug occurs in subtitles?

When recorded via PVR is ok, but when I watch "live" the subtitles are distorted. The problem occurs most often in only one channel, the other occurs rarely.

I do not understand ... PVR  = recording in E2 ?  When it is "live", subtitles are time to time distorted, but when it is recorded on same box and then played, then are subtitles OK ? Or how is it ?

I've seen these 'transparant' subtitles on dutch stations as well. It seems like the subtitles are drawn at different location for the odd and even field of the interlaced image. Don't know if this is an enigma or a framebufferdriver issue.

I am quite convinced enigma doesn't have any knowledge of fields, so imho it must be a driver or hardware issue. Interlacing of the OSD layer must take place at hardware level.

Exactly.
If I record one channel at XP1000 and watch for the PC, subtitles are OK.
However, when I am watching programming channel subtitles are with this problem, are distorted.
The strange thing is that in engraving is OK, but during the channel display are in trouble.

In Brazil we have other linux receivers of other brands (closed code) that the first firmware also had this problem of distorted subtitles, but with new upgrades, updates the problem was corrected.

I believe it is a problem of the same drivers.

2) recorded file played in PC ... subtitles are OK

What about same recorded file played on XP ... what make subtitles ?

Could you record some problematic program ( several minuts ) and place this .TS somewhere on public server ?
