The DM800 image has been stuck on OpenPLi 2.1.

 

The manufacturer, DMM, has declared it end-of-life, and does not make any new drivers for it anymore, so we can't make an OpenPLi 3.0 image for it.

 

Since OpenPLi 2.1 hasn't changed since the release of OpenPLi 3.0, the image that you can still download is perfectly fine, it's the same as the week before, and it will be the same as one that would be generated today.

 

Once the build environment has been recreated we will start generating new nightly images again, as of this moment there has been no descision made to retire the DM800.

The dm800hd image available for download (20130506) is not the same as todays build (if it would be made), by every e2 change you commit (as far as i understand both 2.1 and 3.0 branch using the same enigma2 source) stuff changes e.g. like twitter and sf history are showing us few examples are:

 

AutoDiseqc - Fix for not found sats and GSODs

PliExtraInfo: For DVB-T give freq in MHz instead of KHz

diseqctester: small fix, should be working again now.

 

Just to name a few changes since 6 may which have affect on the 2.1 builds...

 

But Wanwizzard knows this even more then i do 

 

Fact is "they" dont care much about dreambox (800Hd) in general anymore as you can read by various statements in topics overhere, i cannot blame them for this..

 

If one of those dev's have some free boring time and the et/vu range suite their needs, they might try again to fix the 2.1 buildserver in the future which is also fine, course you can clone the git by yaself and build the 800hd 2.1 image from source and more models like the dark side also does succesfully for many months

Hmm... Well... I'm not a core dev, I think you know more about the build environment then I do, haven't built an image myself since the CDK days...

for as long as possible
