I could use a working config for Viasat 016 blue arrow, card.

 

Looking in the Wiki only confuses me.

 

And googling seems to give me 1000 different answers.

The statusline for the card, looking at the html status says

Or your internal reader is broke or the card.

Its reported by many that the recent new kernel update of the ET boxes broke support for some cards.

Other people report that it runs just fine with cccam and not with oscam.

 

If you ask me you got a card that isnt "compatible" with the new internal readers drivers the new kernel delivers.

Either way, I hope ET will release a new kernel that will be compatible with all cards and softcams again.

The card is not broken - I just tried it in the original box.

But I have never used the internal card-readers before, cause I have used Smargo.

 

I also have received a new card from Viasat (looks the same as the one I have used). Have not tried it yet, since its not activated.

ok, one last idea - the card is in which slot?
typically /dev/sci0 is the upper one
(not sure about dm8000, never had it, but I suspect it's the same as for the others)

Yes, its in the upper slot. It also seems like its detected. But no entitlements.......

 

I am wondering, if Smargo will make any difference, in stead of the internal slots....

For sure internal reader issue. With smargo you are running into another problem. Those readers are notorious for picky settings. As I dont have smargo I cant help you with that one.

This post will show you my oscam.server file setup to read cards from Viasat Nordic and Canal Digital Nordic through Omnikey Cardreader 3121.

This config also works with Viasats new cards with the blue arrow.
Viasat HD channels however do not work.

My oscam.server file looks like this:

I could see right away, that it was different, cause I got entitlements right away. I just had to fiddle a little with the device

Having a working config, makes is easier to experiment.

Card also works in the internal reader, also new Viasat blue arrow.

 

My mistake was, that most of the time the card was in the top slot, but sci0 is in fact the bottom one.

 

oscam.server for bottom slut internal reader, no other files needs to be modified.:

I have tried switching back from internal reader to Smargo - its the same.

Feels like I have to start over again.................

 

Nothing has changed. What can cause this. I do have entitlements ???

I just activated the new one, and it runs like a champ.
