Hi Forum.

I have updated my image from a 2011 version, to the one from today.

A strange thing, is that 0.8W seems not to work anymore.

4.8E works fine.

It could be broken, but exactly the day I changes image ?

Setting the satfinder for predifines transponder, and browsing the transponders, it seems that I can find signal on several.

For example 11216 V 24500 FEC Auto.

But thats only in the satfinder.

How do I apply this to the setup of my DM8000 ??

And why has it changed ??

If the satfinder can get a lock on a transponder, you should try to do a "manual scan" on such a transponder. It should work as well.

I can lock the satfinder on a single transponder, but that only gives me maybe 10 channels. A different transponder, can give me 12 other channels.

If I do an automatic search, it simply skips the 0.8W sattelite, probably cause its not locked.

If I do a manual scan, selecting both sattelites, it finds around 250 channels on 0.8W,

but the screen is black.

I can see, that signal is 16dB on 4.8E and only 6dB on 0.8W. Is that sufficient to have a picture ???

There is 2 sattelites on 0.8W, C band and Ku band. Whats the difference ? I only find channels on Ku band.

I wonder, if something is broken ???

6 dB is far too low. I'd say acceptable is 12 dB.

The only thing that can have an influence is the drivers. I do have a dm8000 as well, but it's not connected to 0.8W, the dm800 is and that one pretty well works.
