I managed to find the problem.

 

I share a folder on my computer and access this folder via receiver using CIFS Authentication with the option "replacement hdd" checked.
 
When my computer goes into standby mode, the receiver loses connection with the computer and lock in this black screen.

Ach, yes!

 

When I mount my laptop before I close the laptop I unmount the CIFS mounts because if I start an STB, if the laptop is not on, then the search for the mounts is endless...

Agreed with you, a simple solution to prevent these kind of issues!

Need to write a patch for the plugin NetworkBrowser.
If we are talking about mounting via this plugin.

In my opinion it is not difficult.

I do not have that technical knowledge to change in NetworkBrowser.

I'm using an external HDD (physical).

why not. In his case it could help. Autofs di not waiting for nothing and do not waking up still shared cifs workaround... I am using it on all my boxes and no problems from this time.

That depends on one's setup and one's needs.

 

I am using PBNIGMA and they have stopped it in favour of their versatile and very effective Device Manager.

 

Plus, one could try TCP, if one is using UDP NFS, I learned in the meantime... For my NAS, that is. Not sure for CIFS, mind... fstab can do this thing, too...

 

Network Browser/Mount Manager is generally OK but...

mount
-t nfs -o rw,tcp,rsize=32768,wsize=32768 192.168.x.x:/share /mnt/nfs - or wherever else you are mounting it in the box...

PBNIGMA is for originals as well as "non-originals"...

 

And in this sense, what goes for originals goes for the others, as well... and vice versa.

I little not understand, why change things for images based on PLi's derivate, when under PLi is very easy to use Autofs without any problems.

Because home network shared folder mounting (NFS and CIFS) is - to me - not to be done by autofs, that's all...

 

Deffo not for that and USB devices... Because, for me, there are problems if you use it like that!

 

A really good Device Manager + Network Browser/Mount Manager is what I need...

How do I set up a shared folder (CIFS) for Autofs?
Solve my problem of halting when the PC enters into Standby mode?

I always had a problem when I tried doing it (CIFS) via fstab or Network Browser, for instance...

 

Not if I mounted it via Mount Manager. Disable if not needed. Simple.

 

Autofs - no idea, sorry...
