I have pruned out my channels file now.  Hopefully I did not introduce errors.

(around 600 channels - 400 unique ones) There are bound to be a couple of errors.

Below is a list of channels whose EPG seems to have disapperaed more or less after your pruning.

Do you think you can bring those back?

i have cross epg then XMLTV providers, i have  RYtec uk XMLTV listed... but only get FTA mate?

Sorry but that was a request for Doglover to include these references in xmltv channel file.

As regards CrossEPG I cannot really help you because I only use EPG Import plugin - it works perfectly on OpenPLi.

Never used Cross EPG, so I'm out. If you're using OpenPLi, dump Cross EPG and use the xmltvepg importer, which can be installed from the plugins.

On the box: menu button, plugins, green button (for download), wait, open "extensions", install "xmltvimport" and "xmltvimport-rytec".

 

Once installed you'll find "EPGImport" in the plugin list. Click on it to open the configuration. Press "blue", select "Rytec UK XMLTV" from the list, press "green" to save your selection. Set the other config items as well (if needed), and press "green" to save your config.

 

If you want you can now open EPGImport again, and press "yellow" to start a manual import.

Thanks for the list.

Indeed 3/4 of these have been deleted in the pruning operation (which was really needed because off the many changes in the past).

Others did not have epg yet.  I added them.

And two had a typo in them.   (if you check over 700 channels - including duplicates - typo's are to be expected.)

 

Everything is corrected.  (I hope anyway)

I would be helpfull if you tell us wich image you use, and on which box.

After you install the XMLTV plug-in.  Do an import an take a look at the import log.  (see our Faq's on how to obtain the log).

Thanks, Doglover. Could you check History 2 (1_0_1_D421_A2C_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - H2), it still doesn't have any EPG. Others are OK now.

Checked, and on my box no epg is given as well.

Thought I added this one, but there is no trace to be found in the XMLTV file.  So not added yet.

 

In the channels file the reference was given, so it was added there.

 

Will be included tomorrow.

Yes a problem:

 

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/tm800hdc/public_html/rytec/rytecxmltvuk.gz on line 457

 

But when i open this website in a FTP client, everything seems normal.

 

At the moment the only thing I can advise is to delete:

 

    <url>http://www.tm800hd.c...rytecxmltvuk.gz</url>

 

in the rytec.sources.xml file in /etc/epgimport

and try again.

The tm800 website seems to have a problem.

I had a problem with the italian file this morning also.  And I did not know the error yet at that moment.

When I tried again, the importer took another website and the import took place normally.

 

So the website is at fault.  it will be fixed, but I do not know when because this is outside my direct control.  I have to contact somebody else for that.

 

You can delete all the tm800hd references.  Or simply leave them in there, and start an import.  If you are lucky the importer will take another website.

Just a few remarks.

You seem to have been confused by various channels using the brand of Sony. There are 4:

1_0_1_C7AD_96C_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - Sony Movies (EPG wrong - showing EPG of Sony Entertainment)

1_0_1_C7AF_96C_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - Sony Movies +1 (EPG wrong - showing EPG of Sony Entertainment +1)

1_0_1_CB25_907_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - Sony Entertainment (EPG OK)

1_0_1_D017_909_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - Sony Entertainment +1 (EPG missing)

Additionally:

1_0_1_1793_7EE_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - Sky Living +1 (EPG wrong - showing EPG of Sky LivingIt +1)

1_0_1_CCE7_90B_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - TLC +2 (EPG missing)

1_0_1_D01C_909_2_11A0000_0_0_0 - Style Network (EPG missing)
