Hier nu ook, stom van mij maar ik had een typefoutje ik had db staan i.p.v dB in 1 regel.

Hallo,

Het weerbericht in de skin verandert niet, pas als je een reboot geeft, wordt deze weer geactualiseerd.
Maar om steeds te moeten rebooten om het juiste weerbeeld te bekijken, lijkt mij niet goed.
Is dit euvel bekend?
Het blijft wel de mooiste skin.

Nee nog niet maar is er ook bekent  wat er veranderd is waar ik dat kan vinden? dan kan ik ook die aanpassing maken.Wel vreemd om zoiets te doen vind ik.

Het vreemde is dat ik hier weinig aan kan doen. dat is bij mij ook zo,misschien moet er iets veranderd worden in python maar daar heb ik geen kennis van

Bij PLi-hd is dit veranderd..

de regel met de - ervoor oud

met + ervoor nieuw.

Ondertussen heb ik backwards compatibiliteit ingebouwd.... Dan maar een klein beetje dubbel.... ben bang dat er zo veel skins omvallen die nooit aangepast gaan worden. Helaas het is niet anders in E2... skin en code is teveel verweven...

Just installed this and must sat it's looking good... But I have one problem, the gui is too big for my screen, why is that? Any settings I can change to fix this? (i.e. it is too wide..)

btw, my TV is capable of 1080p and that is what I am using....

Actually I see the height is a bit too much as well but it's not so distinct as the width....

The skin is not too big, you have your TV set is not 16:9 but full zoom.

Why haven't I problems with other skins then? The aspect ratio on my TV is set to 16:9, not sure what else to configure?

Than your TV uses some form of overscan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overscan and you're not seeing the full 1920x1080 image.

Check your tv for settings like: full screen view (Samsung) or something alike, that gives you the full size of the 1920x1080 image.

Then you will see that the Full-HD skin fits like a glove.

Well, If I choose just the HD versjon of the skin and not Full-HD then the skin fits... :)

 

In almost all flatscreen TV's you can disable overscan. Sometimes you have to look a bit in the TV's menu, since every vendor uses a different name for it. If you let us know what brand and model you have, we may be able to help you. Overscan is bad because it not only costs you 5-10% of the visible screen area, it also makes your TV zoom the picture (because it has cut the edges off), so you're losing resolution and detail.

 

Some skins, especially the non-HD versions, take overscan into account by leaving the edge free. Modern HD skins don't. they expect you do have overscan disabled (which is something that was needed 20 years ago with a CRT, but is complete rubbish with today's technology).

Ok, I see my knowledge is not up to standard here... My tv is a LG 42LM670T-ZA and appreciate your help... I will also take a look in the manual and see if I can find any information about overscan....
