Hello all!

 

I have a DM7020HD with S2 and DVB-C/T running OpenPLi-3.0-beta, it keeps crashing crashing again and again. Most often it cant run stable for 20 mins, crashes seems random, not provoked by any special behaviour from me. Some times it happens with a green screen with tons of text, some times it just crash and reboots showing the boot splash logo, and some times it just freeze and can only be cold started. Am I all alone and on my own ?

None of the PLi members own a dm7020hd so as PLi we can't comment or try to reproduce, unfortunately. On the other hand, I haven't seem much complaints about the dm7020hd, so it might very well be that yours has a hardware defect.

 

I'd recommend installing the original DMM firmware and if the receiver crashes too, then, request it to be repaired. If it doesn't, it's our fault ;)

Hi,

what about posting a crash log. Should the developer guess your problem?

Normally I'd say the same, but the TS sais it crashes in various different ways, sometimes with, sometimes without green screen and crash log.

who knows what is running in the background? It might be the same reason at different times.

segfault. From the looks of it after the webif has received quite a hammering...


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hmm ... I have a Apple TV2 with XBMC. XBMC has a plugin that allows me to see live TV on the Apple TV. It might be that pounding the webif. Anyway, I have disabled it for now. Lets see what happens next.

It helped a lot to disable the plugin on my AppleTV, it crashes less often, but still ... And mostly without crash logs. I would have attached crashlog, the only one since 25 June 2013 - 19:36, but I cant find the uploader anymore?

Hi,

did you look in /home/root for a crashlog? There might be also a crashlog.

Yes Trial, no crash logs there .. I find them in /mnt/hdd

 

But I cant find the uploader in this forum, its seems gone with the wind :-(

Yet another segfault. From the OpenWebInterface. I suggest you contact the maintainers of OpenWebInterface.
