I've just upgraded from Dreambox and I'm having a few issues.

I've a fixed Dish Lnb pointing at 28.2E  ( Connected to Solo2 LNB input 2)

and my Technomate TM-2600  (Connected to Solo2 LNB input 1)

With various settings I have had everything working at times but it has been very unstable.

Do you think these settings are wrong please.

TUNER B

Configuration mode............. Advanced

Satellite ...............................28.2E

LNB .....................................LNB 2

Priority..................................Auto

LOF......................................Universal LNB

Voltage mode.......................Polerisation

Increased voltage................No

Tone mode..........................Band

DISEqC mode.....................No

TUNER A

LNB............................................LNB 1

LOF...........................................Universal LNB

Voltage mode............................Polerisation

Increased voltage.....................No

Tone mode ...............................Off

DISEqC mode...........................1.2

Commited DISEqC command....None

Fast DISEqC..............................No

Sequence repeat ......................No

Command order........................Commited Toneburst

Uncommitted DISEqC command......... None

DISEqC Repeats .........................None

Longditute....................................005.100   (I've not altered these values )

                                                    East

Latitude.......................................050.767    (I've not altered these values)

                                                    North

Use USALS for this sat...............No

Stored position...........................001   (This the position that 19.2E is stored in my TM-2600)

Tuning step size........................0.360

Horizontal turning speed............2.3  (I've not altered these values)

Vertical turning speed ...............1.7   (I've not altered these values)

I have repeated the above configuration details for several of my favorite satellites only altering the second line "Satellite" eg to 13.0E and the stored postion to for example 002 Etc.

Thanks in anticipation

I think I have found the problem but I don't know how to fix it.

In the positioner setup menu my satellite positions are NOT being stored.

I have tried several times but when I return to postioner setup menu the positions are not there.

There is a message ..... Warning no LNB: using factory defaults.

Help! Please!

I've decided to edit the /etc/enigma2/settings  file

for east facing satellites for example 13e  I think the lines should be ....................

config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.rotorposition=3
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.lnb=1

Anyone know what the syntax is for west facing satellites for example 0.08W

I hope someone is reading / following this thread....

I've tried several amended /etc/enigma2/settings files

Telneting init 4  before overwriting and init 3 to restart etc.

Currently the relevent part of the file looks like this..........

config.Nims.1.powerMeasurement=false
config.Nims.1.diseqcA=3601                         *** not sure what these 4 lines are doing but the fixed dish is working fine.
config.Nims.1.diseqcB=3601
config.Nims.1.diseqcC=3601
config.Nims.1.diseqcD=3601
config.Nims.1.configMode=advanced
config.Nims.1.advanced.sats=282
config.Nims.1.advanced.sat.282.lnb=2
config.Nims.0.powerMeasurement=false
config.Nims.0.diseqcA=194                              **** not sure what these 4 lines are doing?
config.Nims.0.diseqcB=3601
config.Nims.0.diseqcC=3601
config.Nims.0.diseqcD=3601
config.Nims.0.configMode=advanced
config.Nims.0.diseqcMode=single
config.Nims.0.simpleSingleSendDiSEqC=true
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.rotorposition=3
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.282.rotorposition=2
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.282.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.192.rotorposition=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.192.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.192.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3592.rotorposition=4
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3592.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3592.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3530.rotorposition=5
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3530.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3530.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.70.rotorposition=6
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.70.usals=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.70.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.diseqcMode=1_2
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.powerMeasurement=false

**** something is wrong but I can't see it !!!!!

Six satellites.............. position 1 19.2E,   position 2 28.2E (but not used here), position 3 13E, position 4 0.8W (not sure if syntax is correct), position 5 7W (not sure if syntax correct) , position 6 7E.

TIA

I've just realised that 3592 for 0.8W is 3600 minus the 8

and 3530 for 7W is 3600 minus 70

obvious really ;-)
