DMM are doing illegal things, strictly speaking... but don't let that stop you....
Like it didn't stop MacroHard stealing other people's ideas and plagiarising wholesale, while never having credited them or paid them...
Or NDS, having hacked the living daylights out of their competitors...
Or $ly UK having done nasty things to their competitors (OnDigital, for instance)...
Otherwise, their mouth was full of "fight against hackers" and "struggle for recognition of their intellectual property"...
Scuze me while I vomit for a while, then pee myself laughing out loud...
So, in conclusion: the examples you made are bad and wholly inappropriate in this case. The ones I gave you are appropriate and proportionate to this case. This time, this technology, this space. You are talking out of your rear end, as per usual, being heavily tribal, not seeing wood for the trees...
P.S. Btw, have they (DMM) acknowledged their "roots" in whatever was out there at the time, that they took from, even wholesale?
P.P.S. Not that I would defend outright theft of the "poor" and "little ones", as you can see above, since I was and am against theft done by anyone, including NDS, MS, DMM wrecking people's equipment (like "time-bomb" stuff, which you are well versed in) and alike...

<span style='font-family: comic sans ms,cursive'>"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-incurred immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one's own understanding without the guidance of another. This immaturity is self-incurred if its cause is not lack of understanding, but lack of resolution and courage to use it without the guidance of another. The motto of enlightenment is therefore: Sapere aude!
