Hello everyone, I could use your help! I have tried to install a plugin. I now get a message that I have to share the logfile enigma2 with you. Does anyone know what I need to do? Any advice is very welcome. Thank you!
Is this the logfile? 2.7 +git10960+0befa0c-r49
I can't see no channels.
Thank you so much.
Michele

If you can specify which plugin you tried to instal and the exact message, it would hel us (and you).

Please also tell us which box you have and version of software (nightly OpenPLi ?).

What are you trying to do? (new installation?)

You get a green screen and then enigma2 restarts?

If yes, then please connect to your box via an ftp client and look on the harddisk (normally /media/hdd ). There you should find a file named enigma2_crash...

Post the file here.

Or make a photo and post it here (a crash log would be better).

Hi, here's what I have:
The box is VU+ solo 2
I downloaded the software update without a problem. Then I was browsing around and chose to install a plugin, which I already had installed, but not activated, and the name of this plugin is PermanentVfdClock.
When I activated this plugin I got a green tv screen with the message "we are really sorry. Your STB encountered a software problem. Please send the logfile enigma2 - 2.7+git10960+0befa0c-r49 to forum at ...". I tried to put the picture of the error message (component: enigma2 ,with all the numbers) on the forum. I'll try again if this was not successful.
Thank you
Michele

I think I had the same problem on Vu+Duo. Once the plugin is enabled, the box is in loop of restarting enigma2 with GSOD. The easiest way to solve this is to reflash, but there is another way - while your enigma2 is restarting, you can still ftp/telnet to your box and simply delete the plugin directory. If I remember correctly, the plugin directory should be located in

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions

look for a directory named vfdpermanentclock or something similar and delete the directory. Enigma2 should start normally now and you can remove the plugin (actually just the plugin reference, the files you deleted already manually) in a normal way.
