I love Openpli very much. In China the vender of the cable does not follow the international definition of chart, thus DM800C cannot correctly show the Chinese GBK font. Some Chinese fans of DM800 rewrote the dvdbsi++.so.1.00 file so the Chinese EPG can be shown. The Openpli before 2012.02-26 can correctly shows the Chinese EPG by replacing this file. However, after that Openpli cannot correctly shows after the file replacing. By what operation Openpli can support Chinese EPG after the file libdvdsi++.so.1.00 file is replaced. Thank you for your kind help.

In the figure the names of the channel are correct. The names of the EPG of the channels are wrong.

Or can Openpli support Chinese GBK inherently? In China this is achieved by some experts through modifying enigma file. However, the image is not so stable or not so powerful as those of the aboard.

No. The first version was released on April 22,2010. This file can be applied for all IMGs except Openpli (the Openpli IMG after 2012 Jan.) to correctly show Chinese EPG.

Getting some info from here: http://www.digital-k...enigma2-314664/

What you are missing is a mapping from GBK to Unicode?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GBK there is a mapping here http://www.unicode.o...NDOWS/CP936.TXT

Maybe an OpenPLi core developer can understand better and tell us if this is possible or not.

Thank you for your kind reply. The information you provided is very useful. Hope the core developer of Openpli can include it into the new IMG.

Please remember there are more than one billion people in China. The Openpli supporting Chinese GBK EPG will make it more appealing by the people in the world and the Openpli more successfully.
