It seems, there under OE4 is problem with eTPM => does not work MyTube, Webinterface etc on DMM machines due fails certification test.

[eTPM] connect error

PS: where added Openpli4 cca 3-4MB in /dev/root with same configuration and plugins than openpli3 ?

Tpmd should be included and made to run in OpenPLI 4.0

Without it various plugins and extensions which use tmpd will not run, even when you have a genuine dreambox!

I dont know if its possible but could it be a fact that "enigma2-plugin-demoplugins-upnpmediaserverdemo" is not working due to missing tpmd support ?

EDIT: Error is "no module named ....", havnt had those problems with newnigma2. but unfortunally my USB tuner cant be added in NN2. The drivers install fine, but the tuner wont show up in the tuner menu.

Agree. Now go complain to the author of tpmd to fix it.

For some time ago the situation was the other way around. Several plugins and the webif wasnt running on other boxes than dreambox.

Some people removed the tpm check and things start to work again. Not long after that the authors of those plugin came complaining here that their plugins should not be altered.

Openpli replace the altered plugins for the orginals. After some time e2openwebif was developed by the opensource community to abandon the dreambox only webif.

Now the situation is the other way around. I can tell you one thing: I personally never will put any effort into fixing this "tpmd" the deamon that validates the geniunity of dreamboxes.

If dream GMBH doesnt fix it you will have to exchange your "dreambox" only plugins for others. Or stick to openpli3 / move to dream manufacturer image.

I would, if it would have any effect.

But this time it is not DMM who is in error, since they provide a working tmpd for their images, using openssl 0.9.8.

It is the OpenPLI team, who decided to abandon the openssl 0.9.8, in favor of the newer openssl 1.0 version, without providing any backwards compatibility.

If you buy a Ford car, with a petrol engine and you decide to replace that engine with a different one, running on hydrogen.

Would you complain to Ford, your car doesn't work anymore, because you can't get hydrogen fuel everywhere?

If DMM wants to distribute closed-source binaries, they should link them STATICALLY. That's the problem here. I don't care what they use to compile their stuff (I was tempted to use another term here), but dynamic linking is not going to work well for binary blobs.

Your car analogy is, eh, flawed. Our Ford runs on diesel, by the way.

Is it a clonebox ?

If so OpenPli don't support cloneboxes.

Hello,

Just installed the latest OpenPLi 4 for dm800se, i don't know if this commit http://sourceforge.n...26e46b7ee29bdf/ allows login after installed (without password). It doesn't.

Tried with windows ftp and winscp, same result, no login without password.

Of course after setting password it works.

Personally i always use password, but i hear complains from other users about this.

Weird, you should have gotten 3.0.2

Are you sure you really flashed it? Maybe the flash failed and you got the old software back or so?

hmm, it seems there's still only 3.0.0 in the feed /?/

my local build stubbornly insisted on 3.0.0 version building as well, until I manually 'git pulled' the repo...
